lives in Kiel.
Catherine George is his wife. They were married Feb. 5, 1861 in New York State.
In 1906 there are two children still living at home – Amandus and Ida.

Wedding Announcements-
The wedding of Mr. Leopold Brill of the Town of New Holstein, and Miss
Clara Gange(sic) of St. Paul, Kansas took place last week at the St.
Peter and Paul Church with Father Schmitz officiating. The young
couple will make their hom on the farm that they recently purchased
from Mr. Nic. Schroeder (Schroder).

Leopold Brill Dies Suddenly; 
Farmer, aged 65, victim of heart attack while doing chores. [1938]
Relatives and friends here were shocked Sunday when they learned of the death 
of Leopold Brill, 64, who passed away suddenly at this farm home in the town of 
New Holstein, on Sunday morning while engaged in chores.
Mr. Brill was born in the town of New Holstein on February 11, 1873, the son of 
the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brill.  He was united in marriage with Miss Clara 
George of Kansas, and the couple immediately located on their present farm home.
The following are the survivors: His widow and six children: Mrs. Frank (Viola) 
Duzinski of Ripon; Mrs. Herman (Edith) Bohne of Cleveland; Mrs. Orin (Gertrude)
 Lindemuth of Manitowoc; George of Ripon; Elmer at home, and Miss Lucella Brill 
of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Theodore Bill of this city 
[Chilton?]; Joseph of California, Otto of Malone, and George of the town of Meeme; 
and three sisters, Mrs. Nicolas Rach of this city, Mrs. Amos George of Iowa, and 
Mrs. Peter Petersch of Montana. [I HATE it when they do not mention the first 
names of women!]
Funeral services were held this Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the family residence, 
and burial was made in the Holy Rosary church cemetery at New Holstein.

Mrs. Leopold Brill, 85, R.1, New Holstein, died Monday at Calumet Homestead
following a lingering illness.
She was born at St. Paul, Kan., Oct. 20, 1873, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Peter B. George. She attended the Osage Mission School there and on April 7,
1902, married Leopold Brill at St. Anne. She was a member of Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, New Holstein, and of the parish Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors are two sons, Elmer of R.1, New Holstein, and LeRoy of Kiel; four
daughters, Mrs. Frank (Viola) Duzinski, Ripon, Mrs. Herman (Edith) Bohne,
St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Lester (Luella) Schneck, Pocatello, Idaho, Mrs. Orin
(Gertrude) Lindemuth, New Holstein; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grand-
children, and one sister, Sr. Mary, of Omaha, Neb.
Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 6, 1938. Three brothers and four
sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Erbe-Hoffman
Funeral Home, New Holstein, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church,
New Holstein. The Rev. Lambert Scanlan, pastor, will be celebrant of the 
requiem Mass.
Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary 
will be recited there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

in Manitowoc County. Carl is a son of Henrich Brinkmann and Maria 
Cluson. He was born in Gramme Rien, Prussia.
W. I. Caroline Schraeder is a daughter of Christian Schraeder and 
Sophie Willert.

(from Manitowoc County) it claims Chas. was born in Feb. of 1830 in 
Germany. His wife is claimed to be “Christina”.  Chas. died on Nov. 
29, 1905 in Reedsville. He died from “Cancer of esophagus, few months”.
He is buried at the Evangelical Cem., Rockland.
