H. Luehrs of Manitowoc being in charge of the last sad rites and burial being made in the village cemetery. The deceased was born in Bredstedt, Germany, September 29, 1856, and came to America in 1871. He was married to Emma Lau in 1900 and for over a quarter of a century was one of New Holstein’s successful business men. He is survived by a daughter. Chilton Times, August 1919

The 42 yr. old lady was bedridden the past 4 wks. She was born in Bevern, Hanover. She is survived by her husband and 5 children of whom the youngest is 5 yrs. old. The funeral will be Sat. at 2 p.m.
