Miss Magdalene Mueller, 96, a former Town of Schleswig resident,
died early this morning at the Heritage Nursing Home in Sheboygan.
She was born May 3, 1874 in Kiel, daughter of the late John and
Margaret Reichert Mueller. She attended the Kiel schools and the
Silver Lake Convent in Manitowoc County where she studied music
and needlecraft.
She was an organist at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel,
for 18 years.
Miss Mueller lived with her brother, Valentine on the homestead
farm until 1955 when she moved to the Anna Reiss Home in Sheboygan.
She moved to the Heritage home after the Reiss home was closed.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the
Christian Mothers Society of the parish.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Ss. Peter
and Paul Church with the Rev. George Kiefer, pastor, as celebrant
of the funeral Mass. Family rites will be held at 9 a.m. in the
Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. Burial will be in the church
cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. Friends
may call after 4 p.m. Friday.

They were married June 28, 1893 in Kiel by Rev. G. Weiss. In 1906 they had

MATHIAS MILLER DIES AT AGE 0F 78 YEARS
After an illness of several weeks’ duration, Mathias died at his
home east of the city Sunday evening.
Mr. Miller had reached the age of 78, and up to the time of his
fatal illness had been always active.
Mr. Miller was born in Evrange, Alsace-Lorraine, while that province
was still under French rule. At the age of seven years he came to 
this country with his parents and four brothers and three sisters,
of which he was the youngest. The family settled on what is now the
Mertens farm about a mile and a half west of the city.
In 1893 he was married to Miss Magdalene Reichert, and together the
couple lived for the remainder of their lives on the farm where Mr.
Miller died. His wife preceded him in death in the year 1911. Mr. 
Miller was the last survivor of his family.
Four children were born to the couple. They are: Alfred J., at 
Mendota, Wis., and Edward P., Norbert H., and Otto, all living at 
home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 at the Sts. 
Peter and Paul church, the Rev A. Roder performing the last rites.
Interment was in the Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery. - 1927
