Aged Resident of Town Meeme Dies After an Illness
William Rumpff, aged seventy-two, life-long resident of the town of Meeme, 
died at his home Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock.
Mr. Rumpff was born in the town of Meeme, June 25, 1857, where he has made 
his home ever since.  He was united in marriage to Augusta Schultz of Town 
Schleswig on August 11, 1891.
Besides his widow, he is survived by three sons:  Oscar of Schleswig; Louis 
of Plymouth, and Harold at home, and seven daughters, Mrs. Louis Hungsberg, 
Town Schleswig; Mrs. Gottfried Wengel of Marshfield; Mrs. Arthur Manneck of 
Town Lyndon; Erna of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Carl Eisenhardt of Sheboygan Falls, 
and Ethel and Mildred at home.  He is also survivied by twelve grandchildren 
and a brother, Fred, in the town of Newton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 o’clock from the home. The Rev. 
Grunwald of the Lutheran church of Louis Corners will officiate and burial 
will be made at the Louis Corners cemetery.

Services Are Held for Town of Meeme Resident Today
The funeral of William Rumpff, 72, a resident of Meeme township for many years, 
who died Wednesday at his home, was held at 1:30 p.m. today form the family 
residence.  Rev. Grunwald of Louis Corners officiated and interment was made 
at Louis Corners.
Mr. Rumpff was born in the town of Meeme in 1857, where he has lived since. He 
was united in marriage with Augusta Schultz of Town Schleswig on August 11, 1891.
The survivors are his wife; three sons, Oscar of Schleswig; Louis of Plymouth, 
and Harold at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Louis Hungsberg, Town Schleswig; Mrs. 
Gottfried Wengel of Marshfield; Mrs. Arthur Manneck of Town Lyndon; Emma,
Sheboygan, and Mrs. Carl Eisenhardt, Sheboygan Falls, and Ethel and Mildred at 
home.  He also leaves to mourn his death twelve grandchildren and a brother, Fred, 
in the town of Newton.

Rites held Wednesday For Mrs. William Rumpff
Mrs. William (Augusta) Rumpff, 87, died at Memorial hospital Sunday, 
following a two weeks' illness.
She was born September 31, 1871, in the town of Schleswig, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schulz. August 11, 1891, she was married to
William Rumpff at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Louis Corners. The
couple resided on a farm in the town of Meeme. Since the death of her
husband, Mrs. Rumpff had been making her home with a son, Harold, on the
home farm.
Surviving her are six daughters, Mrs. Louis Hungsberg of Elkhart Lake,
Mrs. Gottfried Wengel of Marshfield, Mrs. Alfred Schuricht of near 
Sheboygan, Mrs. Carl Eisenhardt of Rochester, Michigan, Mrs. Henry
Hansmann of rural Sheboygan, and Mrs. Herman Eisenhardt of Sheboygan
Falls; three sons, Oscar of the town of Schleswig, Louis of Plymouth,
and Harold, on the homestead at R.2, Kiel; 28 grandchildren; 43 great-
grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Three children
preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Zion Evangelical
Lutheran church at Louis Corners. The Rev. William J. Hartwig was
in charge and burial was in the church cemetery.
