DEATH CLOSES FIFTEEN YEARS OF SUFFERINGS
Death yesterday came as a merciful deliverance to Albert Vetting, prominent
Manitowoc business man bringing to an end his life of nearly 67 years, 15
years of which had been spent in patient suffering and during more than a
year of which he had been bedridden. His passing was a deliverance from
years of untold sufferings through which he had borne up courageously. The
deceasedwould have reached his sixty-seventh year had he lived until October
21.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 927 South Fourteenth street,
Wednesday afternoon at 2, interment will be made at Evergreen. Mr. Vetting
was a member of the Modern Woodmen, and it is probably that body will
attend the last rites.
Mr. Vetting was born in Newton and had made this county his home for life.
At an early age he removed to this city where he was to enjoy success as a
business man. His early training brought him into the cooper's trade, from
which he changed to painter and some years ago he took over an interest in
the Palace laundry, with which organization he was connected at the time
of death.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Sarah Vetting, nee Downs, whom he wedded on
February 4, 1911. One sister, Mrs. John Herzog of this city also survives.
