The father was at one time a wine merchant of Wheeling. After the death of her parents Mrs. Meiselwitz, who at that time was thirteen years of age, was reared by an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Mesch, of Kiel, with whom she made her home until her marriage. One brother, Adolph Zimmerman, survives and is now manager of the Kiel Woodenware Company, at Mellen, Wisconsin. No newspaper name or date available. *********** Adolph Zimmermann, 83, of Mellen, Wis., a former resident of Kiel, passed away Saturday. He lived in Kiel for about 15 years and was a music instructor. About 40 years ago, following his marriage to Miss Pauline Roeck of Kiel, they moved to Mellen. Survivors include his wife; one son, Carl, and one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Salter, all of Mellen. Funeral services will be held at Mellen on Wednesday. Zimmermann, 70, a life-long resident of the town of Rhine, Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness at St. Nicholas hospital, Sheboygan, where he had been confined since October. He was born in the town of Rhine on Oct. 11, 1874, the son of John and Pauline Zimmermann. Until 1928 he operated a farm with his brother and after selling his interests, he moved to the present farm home one-half mile north of the original homestead. At the time of his death he was serving as vice-president of the Mercantile and Supply company, Elkhart Lake, of which, for many years, he was a director. Five sisters survive, Mrs. Lewis (Caroline) Dessloch; Miss Julia and Miss Emma Zimmermann, of the town of Rine(sic); Mrs. William (Rose) Graff, Milwaukee; and Mrs. George (Gertrude) Dexhteimer(sic), Elkhart Lake; one brother, Henry, town of Rhine; seven nieces and nephews and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews. Another sister, Miss Annie Zimmermann, passed away on Nov. 11, 1944. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Raeder Funeral home, Elkhart Lake, and at 10 a.m. at St. George's Catholic church, with Rev. Henry R.
