MEEME CENTER CEMETERY

Meeme Township, Manitowoc Co., Wisconsin

Location: 0.5 miles east of the south junction of Hwy XX and County Trunk M to Mineral Springs Road,
then 0.2 miles north on Mineral Springs Road to the cemetery. The cemetery is on the west side of the road. The cemetery is cared for (in 1975).
Some stones have fallen over, some have been removed.
Some footstones have been tossed into the ditch on the south edge of the cemetery,
and some more are buried in the edge of the bluff that forms the same south edge.
Two stones have been moved to the NE corner of the cemetery,
and were found laying face down by the outhouse!
One stone was pieced together from two parts in different locations in the cemetery.
The cemetery was transcribed in August of 1975 by members of the Manitowoc County Old Cemetery Society.
Re-transcribed by the Manitowoc Genealogy Society in Sept. 2007, added to this site Nov. 2010.
