      1.  CAtherine Anna1 Hoffmann, daughter of Matthias Hoffmann and Catherina 
            Scheuer, was born in Mishicott, Wis. April 14, 1852.  No Manitowoc co. 
            birth record. 1930 census indicates she was born in Illinois. This is 
            unlikely since her parents were listed in 1850 Manitowoc Co. census. 
            They may have been visiting relatives in Illinois. That has not been 
            checked. 
	      She married FRancis Jacquette in Two Rivers, Wis., July 08, 1872.  
            FRancis was born in Brussels, Belgium October 19, 1839.  He was the son 
            of Joseph Jacquette and MAria Treavor.  FRancis died Dec. 6, 1913 in 
            Mishicott, Wis., at 74 years of age. Buried Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers. 

OBITUARY - TWO RIVERS REPORTER, Dec. 13, 1913.
Sorrow again entered the home of Joseph Jacquette Jr. Mr. Frank Jacquette, who was 
apparently enjoying the best of health, was suddenly taken ill last Friday morning. 
He was in the stable helping his son Joe do the chores and soon after went out to 
split some wood and it was there he was found unconcious by his son who carried him 
into the house and medical aid was immediately summoned but he was beyond all help 
and Saturday afternoon he answered the summons of the Angel of death. Deceased was 
born in Namur, Belgium (BelgiqueVenur) Oct. 19, 1839 and came to this country when 
14 years old and settled with his parents on a farm near the tannery. In the year 
1869 he purchased a farm here and married Catherine Hoffman who bore him 13 children 
of whom 12 are living and were all born and reared on the same farm. Mr. Jacquette 
was always known as a good neighbor, a kind and indulgent husband and father and a 
very industrius man and often expressed the wish that he would be able to work as 
long as he lived. Those who live to mourn his loss are his widow, two brothers, 
Victor of Sheboygan and Joseph of here, his children, Mrs. Richard Krie of Two 
Rivers, Mrs. John Meyer of Medford, Mrs. Fred Lemke of Waukesha, Mrs. Wm. LaLotte 
of Milwaukee, Mrs. Wm. Gehrke and Mrs. Nick Orth of Manitowoc, John Jacquette of 
Sheboygan, Frank of Two Rivers, Mrs. Adolph Sprang, Barbara, Ella and Joseph of 
here, and 35 grandchildren. The funeral took place from St. Luke's Church at Two 
Rivers Tuesday morning. 

	CAtherine died February 16, 1935 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 82 years of age.  
      Buried in Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Jacquette Sr., 85, one of the earliest native born 
white children in the town of Mishicot, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Richard Krey in this city Saturday, will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Klein 
and Stangel, Inc. funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Mark's Catholic church. The 
Rev. P.J. Nilles will officiate. Internment will be in Calvary cemetery here. Mrs.
Jacquette, nee Catherine Hoffman, was born in the Town of Mishicot, April 14, 1851. 
Sixty four years ago she was married to Frank Jacquette of the Town of Mishicot, who 
preceded her in death on the old homestead 21 years ago. Following the death of her 
husband, she remained on the homestead, residing with her son Joseph up to nine 
months ago, when she came to this city to live with a daughter. The deceased is 
survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Richard Krey of this city,Mrs. John Meyer of 
Chelsea, Taylor Co.; Mrs. William Gehrke, Mrs. George Zipperer and Mrs. Nicholas 
Orth, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Frank Walters of Milwaukee, Mrs. Adolph Sprang of 
Manitowoc Rapids and Mrs. Charles Werner of Milwaukee and two sons, Frank Jr., of 
this city and Joseph of Mishicot. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Fields of 
Sheboygan, 63 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.


     	CAtherine Anna Hoffmann and FRancis Jacquette had the following children:

                 She married George Zipperer Jr. in Two Rivers, Wis., October 16, 1917.
                 George was born in Austria September 14, 1895.  He was the son of George 
                 Zipperer and Theresa Seide.  George died 1941 at 45 years of age.				
                 BArbara died January 6, 1952 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 73 years of age.

Mrs. Barbara Zipperer, 73, was found dead in bed Sunday morning at 
the home of her sister, Mrs. Lillian Lequa, 835 N. Eighth St., 
Manitowoc, where she had made her home for the last year. It was Mrs. 
Zipperer's birthday. (Lillian Lequa was born Bloom. Not her sister) 
She was born Barbara Jacquette in Mishicot, Jan. 6, 1879, and her 
husband George Zipperer died 11 years ago. Funeral arrangements by 
Pfeffer Funeral Home. Services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 
Manitowoc, Rev. L.M. Schorn  officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, 
Two Rivers. Survivors are a step-daughter, Mrs. Perry Dickens of 
Manitowoc; five sisters, Mrs. Nic Orth and Mrs. Rose Sprang of 
Manitowoc, Mrs. Katherine Krey of Two Rivers, Mrs. Clara Mahnke and 
Mrs. Helen Werner of Milwaukee; two brothers, Joseph Jacquette of 
Mishicot and John Jacquette of Two rivers; four grandchildren.

      2.  CAtherine2 Jacquette (CAtherine Anna1 Hoffmann) was born in Mishicott, 
             Wis. April 21, 1873.  Baptized  May 18, 1873 at Holy Cross in Mishicot. 
	       She married RIchard Frederick Krey in Two Rivers, Wis., August 15, 1896 
	       RIchard was born in Manitowoc, Wis. January 23, 1860.  He was the son of 
             August Krey and Theressa Scheuer.  Richard died March 10, 1926 in Two 
             Rivers, Wis., at 66 years of age. Buried in Calvary  Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Richard Krey died at the family home on Roosevlt Ave. Services at St. Marks Catholic 
Church, Two Rivers. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Born Jan. 23, 1960, Mr. Krey married 
in 1897 and for 25 years was a patternmaker at the Kahlenberg Plant. He is survived 
by his wife and six children, Mrs. John Bentley of Charles City, Iowa, Walter 
Frederick and Norbert of this City, Peter of Milwaukee, and Joseph of Charles City, 
Iowa. A brother Frederick Krey of Sheboygan, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Geimer of 
Pelican Lake, and Mrs. Charles Schneider of Chicago, Also survive him.
         
 	CAtherine died December 17, 1954 in Tn. Cooperstown, Manitowoc Co., at 81 
         years of age.

Mrs. Catherine  Krey, 81, of 2306 Roosevelt Ave., Two Rivers, died early Friday morning 
at the Fair Hill Nursing Home at Rosencrans, where she had been a patient for the past 
18 months. Funeral arrangements are incomplete,  but services will be held at St. 
Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The casket is at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, 
Two Rivers. Mrs. Krey, nee Catherine Jacquette, was born in the Town of Mishicott on 
April 28, 1873, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Hoffman Jacquette. She was 
married in 1897 at Two Rivers to Richard Krey, who preceded her in death 28 years ago. 
She leaves four sons Walter and Fred of Two Rivers, Peter J. of Milwaukee and Norbert 
with the U.S. Army at Fort Ord, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Nic Orth of Manitowoc, Mrs. 
Adolph Sprang of Manitowoc Rapids, and  Mrs. Charles Werner and Mrs. Clara Manther, 
Milwaukee; two brothers, John Jacquette of Two Rivers and Joseph Jacquette of the 
Town of Mishicot, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.    
 
     	CAtherine Jacquette and RIchard Frederick Krey had the following children: 

      17  i.    Hildegard3 Krey was born in Two Rivers, Wis. March 1898.  Baptized 
                   at St. Lukes in Two Rivers. Evidently died before her father 
                   in 1926 
      18  ii.   WAlter August Krey was born in Two Rivers, Wis. March 20, 1899.  
                   Baptized at St. Lukes in Two Rivers. 
                  He married Elizabeth Rocque in Two Rivers, Wis., June 10, 1924.
                  Elizabeth was born in Coleman, Wis..  She was the daughter of Leo 
                  Rocque and Edwilda Durocher.  Elizabeth died June 1943 in Manitowoc, 
                  Wis..  Husband's obit said she died in June 1943. 
                  He married ROse Hroneck Yana in Manitowoc, Wis., June 28, 1947.  
                  This was the second marriage for both of them. 
                  ROse was born in Mishicott, Wis. June 16, 1895.  She was the 
                  daughter of Mat Hronek and Angeline Kunz.  ROse died May 19, 1956 
                  in Two Rivers, Wis., at 60 years of age.  Buried in Holy Cross 
                  Cemetery.

Mrs. Walter Krey, 60, of Two Rivers, died at Two rivers Municipal Hospital, after 
being stricken with a heart attack the night before. Klein & Stangel Funeral Home 
made arrangements. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Krey, nee Rose Hronek, was 
born in the town of Mishicot on June 16, 1895, a daughter of the late Matt & Angeline 
Kunz Hronek. She was married to Walter Krey on Jun  28, 1947. Yana was the name of 
her first husband. She had 5 children with him.
 
               WAlter died May 17, 1974 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 75 years of age.

Walter C. Krey, 75, a former Two Rivers resident, who resided at Shady Lane Home, 
Manitowoc, died Friday at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be 
held at 10 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface 
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Jophn Hephner will officiate and burial will 
be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mr. Krey was born Mar. 20, 1899, Two Rivers, 
son of the late Richard C. and Catherine Jacquette Krey. He married Elizabeth Roque 
on June 10, 1924, at Two Rivers. She died in June, 1943. He then married the former 
Rose Yana on June 28, 1947. She preceded him in death in 1956. Mr. Krey was employed 
for 37 years at Mirro Aluminum Co., Two Rivers, until his retirement in 1964. He was 
a member of the Senior Citizens, Manitowoc, and a life time member of the Third Ward 
Gun Club, Two Rivers. Survivors include three sons; two daughters, three brothers, 
Fred of Two Rivers, Peter of Milwaukee, Norbert of Illinois; two step-sons, Milton 
Yana of Two Rivers, Rueben Yana of Omro; three step-daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Betty) 
Eis of Mishicot, Mrs. George (Bernice) Butkiewski of Omro and Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) 
Vandertie of Brussels; eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also 
survive. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where a wake 
memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

                    He married AGnes Ruelle Beitzel in Two Rivers, Wis., November 24, 
                    1964. AGnes was born in Niagra, Wisconsin May 10, 1909.  She was 
                    the daughter of Eli Ruelle and Emily Dupuis  Wells.  She married 
                    Edward Beitzel in Wisconsin, September 24, 1928.  AGnes died 
                    March 20, 1988 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 78 years of age.  Buried 
                    in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Agnes Beitzel Krey, 76, of 2328 9th. St., Two Rivers, died Sunday afternoon, 
March 20, 1888, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 
10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Gary Crevier will 
officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Krey was 
born May 10, 1909, at Niagra, Wis., daughter of the late Eli and Emily Duprey Ruelle. 
She attend grade school at Niagra. Mrs. Krey was employed at Cool City Cleaners and 
later, prior to her retirement, she was employed at Paragon Electric Co. She married 
Edward Beitzel on September 24, 1928, He preceeded her in death on September 1, 1960. 
In 1964 she married Frederick Krey and he preceeded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Krey 
was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary: P.E.C.O.; Ladies of St. Mark; Senior Citizens; 
and Senior Citizens Chorus. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, four 
daughters and sons-in-law, 11 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren, 4 great grand-
children, and 3 step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral 
Chapel, Two Rivers, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday where a memorial service will be held 
at 7 pm. 
				
        Beitzel was the name of her first husband. She had a son and four daughters 
        by him. There are Beitzels are buried in Two Rivers, Calvary Cemetery, Holy 
        Cross and Pioneers Rest. 

        FRederick died February 12, 1982 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 80 years of age.  
        Buried in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers. Was tool & die maker at Hamilton Mfg.

1902 at Two Rivers, son of the late Richard and Katherine Jacquette Krey. He attended 
Two Rivers Schools and was employed as a Tool & Die maker at Hamilton Industries until 
retirement. He married Agnes Beitzel in 1964, at Two Rivers. Mr. Krey was a member of 
Senior Citizens of Two Rivers and the Eagles Club. Survivors include his wife; a 
step-son and daughter-in-law, four stepdaughters and sons-in-law, a brother & 
sister-in-law, Norbert & Myrtle Krey of Two Rivers and 15 stepgrandchildren. Services

                  He married Lauretta Haagen.  Lauretta was born February 19, 1906.  
                  Lauretta died October 10, 1999 in Milwaukee County, Wis., at 93 
                  years of age.

4.	She married John Meier in Two Rivers, Wis., November 28, 1894.  
	John was born in Germany October 1867.  He was the son of John Meier and Mary 
        Wasche.  Lived in Chelsea, Wis. in the 1940s. 
	  Mary died April 1930 at 55 years of age.  Date from Lynn Sweetman. 
 
     	Mary Jacquette and John Meier had the following children:

      4.  FRancis2 Jacquette (Jr.) (CAtherine Anna1 Hoffmann) was born in Mishicott, 
            Wis. December 27, 1875.  Baptized at Holy Cross Church, Mishicott, 
            Jan. 23, 1876. 
	      He married KAtherina Polczynska in Two Rivers, Wis., September 30, 1907. 
	      KAtherina was born in Kankakee, Illinois 1885.  She was the daughter of 
            Thomas Polczynska and Hannah Yarns.  KAtherina died December 12, 1949 in 
            Two Rivers, Wis., at 64 years of age.  Buried in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Frank Jacquette, 64, of 1622 Adams St., Two Rivers, died Monday afternoon at the 
Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. Her husband died in October. Funeral services will be 
held at 8;30 a.m. Thursday at the Klein and Stangel Inc. Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock 
at the St. Luke Catholic Church. She was born Katherine Polczynski in Kankakee, Ill., 
in 1885 and later the family moved to Chelsea, Wis. She was married to Mr. Jacquette 
in 1907 and they moved to Two Rivers. Surviving are a son, William and daughter, Miss 
Marcella, both of Two Rivers; a brother, Thomas Polczynski of Chicago; two sisters, 
Mrs. Johanna Monheim of Rib Lake, Wis., and Mrs. Al Bennett of Chicago, and a grand-
daughter, Donna Jacquette. Friends may call at the funeral home where the rosary will 
be recited at 7:45 o'clock Wednesday evening. Was living with family in Taylor Co. 
before marriage. 

	     FRancis died October 25, 1949 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 73 years of age.

Frank P. Jacquette, 73, of 1622 Adams St., two Rivers, died suddenly of a heart attack 
in his home shortly before noon today. Services will be held a 9 a.m., Saturday at the 
St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, there. Born 
on a Town of Two Rivers farm, in 1875, Mr. Jacquette resided there until he married 
the former Kathryn Polczynski of Talyor Co. in 1907 when the couple moved to Two Rivers, 
where the husband was employed at the old Mann Brother's sawmill. Prior to the time of 
his death, he had been a watchman at the F. Egger Plywood and Veneer plant. He was a 
member of the Holy Name Society at the St. Luke parish. Surviving are his wife; one son, 
William of Two Rivers; a daughter, Miss Marcella, at home; two brothers, Joseph and John, 
both of Two Rivers, Mrs. Barbara Zipperer, Mrs. Minnie Orth and Mrs. Annie Gierke, all 
of Manitowoc, Mrs. Carl Werner and Mrs. Clara Manther, of Milwaukee; and one grandchild. 
The body is at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home in Two Rivers, where it may be viewed 
from 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rosary will be recited there at 7:45 p.m.        

     	   FRancis Jacquette (Jr.) and KAtherina Polczynska had the following children:

Miss Marcella Jacquette, 67, of 1808 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died Sunday, Oct. 19 
at home. funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Catholic Church, 
Two Rivers. The Rev. Robert Ryner will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross

of the late Frank and Katherine Poczynski Jacquette. She was a retired press 
operator from Mirro Corporation and was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Citizens. 
Survivors include a brother, William, of Two Rivers, a close friend, Edna Franz and 
nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers,

                   He married Ruth Thelma Tegge in Two Rivers, Wis., October 23, 
                   1942.  Ruth was born in Wisconsin May 29, 1919.  Ruth died May 8, 
                   1997 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 77 years of age.  
                   WIlliam died December 24, 1992 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 77 years 
                   of age. Buried in Holy Cross, Two Rivers.

              January 28, 1877.  She married William Gierke in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, 
              October 28, 1899  at Holy Rosary Church. Marriage record has her name 
              Francis Jackett. It also says they were married before Justice of the 
              Peace, Hubert Farge in Manitowoc, Witt: Emma Gurke Y Barbara Jacket 
              William was born in Chicago, Illinois 1873.  William died 1948 in 
              Manitowoc, Wis., at 75 years of age.  
              ANna died March 28, 1951 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 74 years of age. Died 
              at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. William Gierke, 74, of 814 South 9th. St., Manitowoc, life long resident of the 
county, died Wednesday at the Holy Family Hospital, following a short illness. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, 
Manitowoc. The Rev. Roland Schwandt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen 
cemetery. She was born Anna Jacquette in Mishicot in 1877 and in 1898 was married 
to Wiliam Gierke. They located in Manitowoc. She was a member of the Prisca Society 
of the First Lutheran congregation. Mr. Gierke died in 1948. Survivors are five 
daughters; Mrs. Lawrence Roeming, Mrs. Howard Duebner and Mrs. Harold Klusmeyer of 
Manitowoc; Mrs. Lillian Cherney of Long Beach, Cal. ; Mrs. Jacob Meyer of Sheboygan; 
son Edwin of Manitowoc; two brothers; John of Two Rivers and Joseph of Mishicot; six 
sisters; Mrs.Nicholas Orth, Mrs. Barbara Zipperer, Mrs. Adolph Sprang, of Manitowoc; 
Mrs. Catherine Krey of Two Rivers, Mrs. Carl Werner and Mrs. Clara Manthey of 
Milwaukee, and seven grandchildren Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral 
home after Friday noon. The casket will be moved to the Church at 10 am. Saturday.

                  were born Aug. 9, 1900. Schuler, who died in Sheboygan, & Tetzlaff, 
                  who died in Fond Du Lac, Sept. 9. 1991. The closest Schuler male 
                  was born 1889. 
                Mabel died August 1985 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, at 85 years of age. 
      37  iii.  MYrtle Gierke was born in Manitowoc, Wis. August 02, 1902.  
                  She married Lawernce Larry Roeming in Manitowoc, Wis., 1925 ?.  
                  Lawernce was born in Manitowoc, Wis. August 2, 1902.  Lawernce 
                  died 1975 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 72 years of age.  
                  MYrtle died November 17, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at 81 years 
                  of age.  Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office reported. 
                  Myrtle Roening, 814 S. 19th. St., Manitowoc, died at 2:20 p.m. at 
                  St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, the Medical examiner's report said. 
                  Roening had been cooking when her robe caught fire, the report said.

Mrs. Myrtle I. Roeming, 81, of 814 S. 19th. St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, Nov. 17 at 
St. Mary's Burn Center, Milwaukee. Funeral services at First Lutheran Church Chapel, 
Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Hanstedt, officiated. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, 
Manitowoc. Mrs. Roeming was born Aug. 2, 1902, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late 
William and Anna Jacquette Gierke. She was married to Lawrence Roeming and he preceded 
her in death in 1975. Mrs. Roeming was employed  at F. W. Woolworth Company as an 
office clerk for 50 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Survivors include
three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nina & Jacob Meyer of Sheboygan, Viola and 
Howard Duebner of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Lillian Cherny of Long Beach, CA;  a 
sister-in-law, Agnes Gierke, of Manitowoc and 10 nieces & nephews. She was preceded 
in death by her husband, a brother and a sister. Jens Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements. Closed casket. She had no children.

                   She married Howard Duebner 1935 ?.  Howard was born in Wisconsin 
                   August 11, 1910.  He was the son of Otto Duebner and Linda Duebner.  
                   Howard died August 17, 1999 in Port St. Lucie, Florida, at 89

Howard O. Duebner died Aug. 17, 1999. He was a native of Newton, Wis. and a resident 
of Manitowoc, Wis. and lately of Port St. Lucie. Mr. Duebner owned and operated the 
Manitowoc Creamery. Then he was a maiter for Rahr Maiting for seven years and for 
Anheuser Busch for 11 years.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles - 
Aerie 706 in Manitowoc, Wis.  He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Port 
St. Lucie. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Lyndahl of Green Bay, Wis.; one 
grandchild; three step grandchildren; and six stepgreat grandchildren. Mr. Duebner 
was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Gierke, his parents, Otto and Linda Duebner 
and a brother, Harold Duebner. 
SERVICES: Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. today at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where 
funeral services officiated by the Rev. Sarah Miller and Earl Vorpagal, III will be

                   Agnes was born June 23, 1907.  Agnes died April 1985 in Manitowoc,

                   critical condition at Dickinson memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain 
                   Mich., according to word from relatives. Mrs. Gierke's husband 
                   and brother-in-law, Adolph Pelishek of Maribel, were killed 
                   instantly, in a head-on collision five miles north of Wausaukee. 
                   Marinette Co. traffic officers said it was necessary to use crowbars 
                   to extricate the dead and injured. 
                   EDwin died July 28, 1964 in Marinette Co., Wis., at 56 years of age.

Funeral services for Edwin E. Gierke, 56, of 1607 Grand Ave., Manitowoc, who was 
killed Tuesday in a collision of two automobiles near Wausaukee, Marinette Co., will

officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Gierke was born at Manitowoc 
Aug. 21, 1907, son of William and Anna Jacquette Gierke. He attended local elementary

schools and was graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1933. She was 
married to Harold Klusmeyer July 12, 1947, at Manitowoc, where they have resided 
since. Mrs. Klusmeyer was employed as a payroll clerk with the Manitowoc Company for 
many years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Altar Society and Women's 
Guild of the Church and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, 
Harold of Manitowoc and four sisters and two brothers-in-law. A brother preceded her

              and Mary Engeldinger.  He married Anna Hein in Manitowoc, Wis., 
              Oct. 15, 1902.  NIcholas died Nov. 6, 1956 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 81

Nicholas A. Orth, 81, of 1017 South 20th. St, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at

Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church,

Mr. Orth was born June 1, 1875, in the Town of Gibson, son of the late Mathias and 
Mary Engeldinger Orth. and resided in Manitowoc all his life. On Nov. 23. 1904, 
He married the former Wilhelmina Jacquette. Prior to his retirement in 1945 he was 
employed by the Kaufman Manufacturing Co.  Before that he served for 19 years as 
the custodian of St. Boniface Church and school. He was a member of the Holy Name 
Soclety of St. Boniface. Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Louis 
Slegar of Chicago, Mrs. Harry Heiden of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charles Hardin of Argenta, 
Ill., Mrs, Cyril Wilson of Fargo, N.D., Mrs. Roy Koehn of Jackson, Wis., Mrs. Cyrus 
Swett of Mt. Vernon, Washington; four sons, Philip of Milwaukee, Melvin of Manitowoc, 
Sylvester of Grovertown, Ind., and Staff Sgt. Edward, stationed at Travis Air Base, 
Calif.; a brother, Ed of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. John Mosuch of Two Rivers, 
Mrs. Charles Ginzl of Shawano, and Mrs. Conrad Netzhammer of Milwaukee; 27

at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Ralph Gillis will officate and 
burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Orth, the former Wilhelmina Jacquette, was 
born Aug. 27, 1882, in the Town of Mishicot, daughter of the late Frank and Katherine 
Hoffman Jacquette. She was married to Nicholas A. Orth Nov. 23, 1904, at St. Lukes 
Catholic Church , Two Rivers. The couple lived at Two Rivers two years. The couple 
observed it's Golden Wedding anniversary in 1954 and then moved to Manitowoc. Mr. 
Orth died Nov. 6, 1956. She was a member of St. Anne-CMA Soviety of St. Boniface. 
Suvivors are four sons, Philip of Milwaukee, Sylvester of Chicago, and Melvin and 
Edward of Manitowoc; six daughters, Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Heiden of Milwaukee, Mrs. 
Charles (Irma) Hardin of Argenta, ILL, Mrs. Cyril (Lucille) Wilson of Fargo, N.D., 
Mrs. Roy (Catherine) Koehn of Holy Cross and Mrs. Cyrus (Elizabeth) Swett of The 
Dalles, Oregon; two brothers, Joseph and John Jacquette of Two Rivers; two sisters, 
Mrs. Clara Manthei and Mrs. Helen Werner of Milwaukee; 27 grandchildren and 31 great 
grandchildren. A daughter, a son, a brother and six sisters preceded her in death. 
Friends may call at the funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday, where , at 7:30 p.m. the 
Rosary will be recited by the St. Anne-CMA Society and parish. Baptized Sept. 17, 
1882 at Holy Cross in Mishicot. In 1900, she was living and working as a housekeeper 
for the Louis Niquette family in the town of Two Rivers.

         was born in Two Rivers, Wis. September 2, 1885.  She was the daughter of 
         Herman Sprang and Bertranda Bertha Duerschmidt.  Hedwige died November 
         16, 1918 in Tn. Frankin, at 33 years of age.   Buried in Calvary Cemetery 
         in Two Rivers. 
         He married MArgaret Ott in Two Rivers, Wis., January 27, 1925.  
         MArgaret was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin December 8, 1890.  She was the 
         daughter of John Ott and Margaret Pies.  MArgaret died March 27, 1970 in 
         Two Rivers, Wis., at 79 years of age	
         JOhan died November 21, 1966 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 82 years of age.

John Jacquette, 82, of 1311 Madison St., Two Rivers, died shortly after noon Monday 
at Manitowoc county Hospital where he had been a patient since Friday. Funeral 
services sill be held at 11: 15 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the 
Rev. Earl Brouchoud officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Mr. Jacquette 
was born June 7, 1884 in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late Frank and Catherine 
Hoffmann Jacquette. He married the former Margaret Ott at Two Rivers in January of 
1924. He was an employee of the Crescent Woolen Mills Co., until his retirement 
several years ago. He was a member of St, Luke Holy Name Society and the February 
Club. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, three sons, a step-son Two sisters, 
Mrs. Charles (clara) Manthei and Mrs. Helen Werner of Milwaukee; 13 grandchildren; 
12 great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren Friends may call at the funeral

Ruth G. Jacquette, 77, of 4200 Calumet Ave.,Manitowoc, died Thursday, May 8, at 
Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Burial was at Forrest View Cemetery, Two 
Rivers. Mrs. Jacquette was born May 29, 1919,in Two Rivers, daughter of the late 
Eugene F. and Vera V. Bloom Kiley. On June 28, 1947, she married Ralph J. Jacquette 
in Two Rivers, and he preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1981. She was employed with 
Hamilton Manufacturing for several years. Survivors include two sons. She was 
preceded in death by one brother, Keneth Kiley, one sister, Louis Mae Kiley.

Ralph J. Jacquette, 73, of 2129 31st. St., Two Rivers, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 
at Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at 
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Paul Schumacher will officiate 
and burial will be in Forest View Cemetery. Mr. Jacquette was born April 25, 1908, 
at Mishicot, son of the late John and Henrietta Sprang Jacquette. He married Ruth 
Kiley, June 28, 1947, at Two Rivers. Mr. Jacquette was an Army Veteran of World War 
II and was employed as a Power Plant Operator at American Hamilton retiring in 1973. 
Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughter-in-law, a sister, Mrs. Lee 
(Evelyn) Mason of Two Rivers; a half sister, Mrs. Jim (Margaret) Soreson of Two 
Rivers; a half brother, Raymond of Two Rivers and three grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Margaret Blum and a brother Roland.

Roland Jacquette, 56, of 1716 Michigan Ave., Sheboygan, a former Two Rivers resident, 
died Sunday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan. He had been in ill health 
for a year. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.  Tuesday at Klein and Stangel 
Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Earl Brouchoud will officiate and burial 
will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Jacquette was born Nov. 30, 1911, at Mishicot, 
a son of the late John and Hattie Sprang Jacquette. He attended Two Rivers schools 
and was employed at Eggers Plywood Co., Two Rivers for 12 years prior to moving to 
Sheboygan some two years ago. He had worked in the die cast division of Tecumseh 
Products Co., Sheboygan Falls, until retiring a year ago because of ill health. 
Survivors include his wife; step-mother, Mrs. John Jacquette  of Two Rivers; a son, 
two daughters, two brothers, Ralph and Raymond, both of Two Rivers; two sisters, 
Mrs. Clifford (Esther) Lesperance and Mrs. Raymond (Margaret) Wachowski, both of 
Two Rivers; a step-brother, Arthur Blum of Fondulac, and five grandchildren. 
Friends may call at the funeral home, where the Rosary will be recited a 7:45 
o'clock this Monday evening.

                    She married Clifford J. Lesperence in Two Rivers, Wis., November 
                    24, 1936. Clifford was born in Coleman, Wis. July 04, 1904.  He 
                    was the son of Octave Lesperence and Josephine Moreau.  Clifford 
                    died December 17, 1974 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 70 years of age.

Raymond W. (Ramie) Jacquette, aged 66,  1311 Madison St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday, 
September 23, 1992 at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial 
will be Saturday September 26, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 
Two Rivers. The Rev. David Beaudry will officiate, with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 
Two Rivers. He was born October 24, 1926 in Two Rivers, son of the late John and 
Margaret Ott Jacquette. He was employed at the Mirro Corporation for 25 years, until 
his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1957 of Two Rivers, 
the February Club and the Twenty Grand Club. He is survived by a sister and 
brother-in-law, a half sister, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends also survive. 
Friends may call at the Klein and Stengel Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday. There 
will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.  The Knights of Columbus will meet with the family 
for the prayer service.

Adolph Sprang, 77, of 1027 S. 14th. St., Manitowoc, former supervisor of the Town 
of Two Rivers, died Thursday morning at Maple Crest Sanitarium, Whitelaw, where 
he had been a patient for 94 days. Funeral arrangments by Pfeffer Funeral Home and 
services at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski 
officiating and burial in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Sprang was born in the town of 
Two Rivers, July 19, 1883, son of the late Herman and Bertha Duerschmidt Sprang. 
He married Rose Jacquette at Two Rivers May 29, 1906, and the couple farmed in the 
town of Two Rivers until 1935, moving then to Manitowoc Rapids. They came to the 
city of Manitowoc in 1940. Prior to his retirement, operated a threshing rig and a 
saw mill for 27 years. He had been an implement salesman for Lulloff and Sons of 
Kiel, and for the past 15 years had been a Raleigh Products dealer. Mr. Sprang 
served 17 years as supervisor for the town of Two Rivers. He was a member of the 
Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, three 
daughters, six sons, a brother, William of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, two sisters, Mrs. 
Josephine Radzinske and Mrs. Ida Assmann of Mishicot; 37 grandchildren and 10 great 
grandchildren. A son, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Rosaries 
recited by Knights of Columbus and Daughters of Isabella.
 
          ROsa died October 25, 1965 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 78 years of age.  
            Buried in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.

1977, he had been employed with the City of Manitowoc in the Cemetery and Parks

Anton R. Sprang, age 84, of 4016  Hwy Q, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, November 
6, 2000 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at  9:30 a.m. Thursday, 
November 9, 2000, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents 
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial, will be 
Rev. Gerald Foley, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. 
Tony was born July 14, 1916, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late Adolph and 
Rose Jacquette Sprang. On June 11, 1942, he married the former Ruth O'Neil, at St. 
Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Tony was employed with Lakeside Foods for 42 
years until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Kights of Columbus Council 
#710. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Sprang, Manitowoc; four daughters and three 
sons-in-law, one son and daughter-in-law, a sister, Leona Koneczka, Manitowoc; and 
two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Leo and Mary Jo Sprang, Phoenix, Ariz, Herbert 
and Elaine Sprang Manitowoc, Viola Sprang, Manitowoc, and Jane Sprang, California. 
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other 
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen; a great grandchild, 
Sally; four brothers, Joe John, Melvin, Clement; and two sisters, Clara and Viola. 
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer funeral Home, Manitowoc, 
from 4-8 p.m. this Wednesday , (tonight), where a prayer service will be held at 
7:30 p.m. by Deacon Paul Kieffer.

                    CLement died October 9, 1958 in Waukesha, Wis., at 40 years of age.

Funeral services for S-Sgt. Clement C. Sprang, 40 ,of Rt. 3 Menomonee Falls, who 
was killed in a highway accident in Waukesha county  Friday, will be at 9:30 a.m. 
Monday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary 
Catholic Church. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery. The 16 year military veteran stationed at a Nike site near Menomonee Falls, 
died before reaching Waukesha Memorial Hospital, where he was moved after his car 
hit a tree on Waukesha County Trunk Y. Sgt. Sprang was born at Two Rivers, 
July 14, 1918, son of Adolph and Rose Jacquette Sprang. He attended St. Luke 
Parochial School at Two Rivers and for several years was employed by Manitowoc 
Shipbuilding Inc., until 1941.  A year later, he entered military service. He 
received four battle stars for action in the Pacific Theater and three battle stars 
for combat in the Asiatic Theater. He was wounded in the Korean War and had been 
awarded two Presidential Citations. He married Jean Komas Oct. 11, 1952 at Manitowoc 
and the couple resided at Menomonee Falls. He was a member of the Holy name Society 
and the Young Men's Club of St. Mary Church, Manitowoc. Surviving are his wife and 
four sons, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Sprang of Manitowoc; six brothers, Joseph, 
Melvin,and Anton of Manitowoc, John of Two Rivers, Leo of Osman and Herbert of 
Francis Creek; and three sisters, Mrs. John Ruminski of Two Rivers and Mrs. Elmer 
Naumann and Mrs. Sylvester Koneczka of Manitowoc. Friends may call at the funeral 
home after 1 p.m. Sunday, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. by the 
Daughters of Isabella.

Leona R. Koneczka, age 76, 1714 Madison St., Mantowooc,  died Wednesday evening, 
January 3, 2001, at her Residence. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m, 
Monday, January 8. 2001 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at 
St. Mary Catholic Church. Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial 
will be, Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, 
Manitowoc. Leona was born July 8, 1924 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Adolph 
and Rose Jacquette, Sprang. On November 30, 1946, she married Sylvester Koneczka 
at St. Mary Catholic Church. Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1988. 
Leona was employed as a telephone operator during World War II and was then 
employed at Mirro Foley Company for 28 years, retiring in 1988. Following her 
retirement. Leona worked at Shoto Corporation.  Leona loved to spend time with 
her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed her flower garden. Survivors 
include three daughters and two sons-in-law, one son, eight grandchildren, 
two great-grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, four sisters-in-law and 
one brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by five, brothers, John, Joseph, 
Melvin, Clement, and Anton Sprang; two-sisters, Clara Ruminski and Viola Naumann. 
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc 
from  4-8 p.m. Sunday,  where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by 
Deacon Robert Drobka.

              Co. record - Vol 10, pg. 832. At St. Mary Church, Tn. Mishicott. 
              EMma was born in Tisch Mills, Manitowoc Co. Wis. 1890.  She was the 
              daughter of Frank Cloida and Mary Rebacek.  EMma died April 10, 1913 
              in Mishicott, Wis., at 22 years of age.  Manitowoc Co. record - 
              Vol. 12, pg. 93. Cause: Puerperal septicaemia, apoplexy. Informant, 
              Joseph Jacquette. Evidently died of complications from childbirth, 
              buried in Calvary Cemetery with the child, Ruth. 

OBITUARY - Two Rivers Reporter, April 19, 1913.
Mrs. Joseph P. Jacquette of Eastwin, died Wednesday morning. She leaves a tiny 
baby whose eyes were hardly opened to the world before the mother passed away. 
Mrs. Jacquette also leaves behind her, a loving husband. She was born in Tisch 
Mills, twenty three years ago. Her maiden name was Emma Cloida. The funeral 
ocurred at ten this morning from St. Lukes Catholic Church.

Language, Bohemian. Wife Born 1887 in Wis.  Julia's father also from Austria. 
Children -  Fran, Born 1911; Lucille, born 1915; Emil Jr., born 1918. Emil 
probably Emma's brother. Wenzel, 1867 - 1934, & Margaret Kloida, 1869 - 1945, 
are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers. 
He married CHristine Sporer in Tisch Mills, Manitowoc Co. Wis., November 24, 1914.  
CHristine was born in Tn. Two Creeks, Manitowoc Co., Wis March 27, 1890.  She was 
the daughter of John Spoerer and Mary Haseck.  CHristine died March 04, 1975 in 
Two Rivers, Wis., at 84 years of age.

Mrs. Joseph  Jacquette, 84, 2121 34th. St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening at 
Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday 
at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Paul Schumacher will 
officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Jacquette, nee 
Christine Sporer, was born March 27, 1890, in the Town of Two Creeks, daughter 
of the late John and Marie Hasheck Sporer. She was married to Joseph Jacquette 
Nov. 24, 1914, at Tisch Mills, farming in the Town of Two Rivers and moving to 
Two Rivers 16 years ago. Survivors include her husband, a son, three brothers, 
Louis, of Manitowoc, Otto, of Two Creeks, and Adolph, of Chicago; three 
grandchildren and a great grandchild. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc. 
Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 4 p.m. Thursday, where a memorial service will 
be at 8 p.m.
 
    JOseph died January 09, 1979 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 88 years of age.

Joseph P. Jacquette, 88, formerly of 2121 34th. St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday 
morning in Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. 
Thursday in Holy Redeemer Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Paul Schumacher will 
officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mr. Jacquette 
was born Jan. 28, 1890, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late Frank and 
Catherine Hoffmann Jacquette. He married Christine Spoerer Nov. 24, 1914, in 
Tisch Mills. They farmed in the Town of Two Rivers until 20 years ago, when 
they moved to Two Rivers. Mrs. Jacquette preceded him in death March 5, 1875. 
Survivors include a son, a sister, Mrs. Clara Manthei of Milwaukee, three 
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two brothers and eight sisters 
preceded him in death. 
Friends may call in Klein and stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 4 p.m. 
Wednesday. where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.

              Wisconsin, at 78 years of age.
