First Generation 
 
 
 	1.  PHilipe1 Hoffmann, son of Matthias Hoffmann and Catherina Scheuer, was 
            born in Kinheim, Pruessen, Germany April 8, 1849.  Mormon records show 
            him baptized a Catholic in Kinheim, April 19, 1849. In the 1850 census, 
            Tn. Mishicott, he was 1 yo. 
	      He married BArbara Breider in Mishicott, Wis., February 6, 1875	
            BArbara was born in Mishicott, Wis. December 4, 1855. She was the 
            daughter of John Breider and Barbara Christopher.  BArbara died 
            November 3, 1940, living with daughter, Anna in Two Rivers, Wis., at 
           84 years of age.
  
OBITUARY - MANITOWOC HERALD TIMES - Nov. 4, 1940.
Mrs. Barbara Hoffmann, 86, widow of the builder and operator of the first Flour 
and feed mill in the village of Mishicot, died Saturday evening at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Nick Peot, of Mishicot. She has resided with her daughter in recent 
years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Specht Funeral Home in 
Mishicot and at 9:30 from Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.
Mrs, Hoffmann, nee Barbara Breider, was born in Mishicot in 1854 and except for 2 
years spent in California in later life, resided in the county. In 1874, she was 
married to Philip Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman, with Nich Schimmel, erected the first flour 
and feed mill in Mishicot in the early nineties. He died in 1895. 
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Peot  of Mishicot; son Frank of Arcadia, Calif., 
sister Mrs. John Schook of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great 
grandchildren. 
The body is at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock.

	PHilipe died January 16, 1895 in Two Rivers, Wis., at 45 years of age.  
      Owner of Mishicott flour mill. Cause, of death, Variola. Buried in Holy 
      Cross Cemetery II, Mishicott

Philip Hoffman, proprietor of the Mishicott Roller Mills, died of smallpox last 
Wednesday. His wife is very low with the same disease

      2.  Francis J.2 Hoffmann (PHilipe1) was born in Mishicott, Wis. November 9, 1877.  
            He married Antonia Mary Dworak in Mishicott, Wis., July 31, 1900.  Antonia 
            was born in Tn. Carlton 1887?  She was the daughter of Joseph J. Dworak 
            and Katie Modroch.  Living in Arcadia, California in 1940 and 1948.

     	Francis J. Hoffmann and Antonia Mary Dworak had the following children: 

        i.     Walter3 Hoffmann was born in Wisconsin 1901?. Year from 1920 census. 
                 Walter died 1982 ? in California, at 81 years of age.  There are 
                 many Walter Hoffmans in CA. The closest. WALTER HOFFMAN, 
                 born 17 Jan 1901, died Dec 1982, Alhambra, Los Angeles, CA     	
        ii.    Viola M. Hoffmann was born in California 1915.  Year from 1920 census. 
        iii.   Raymond Hoffmann was born in California 1917 ?.  Raymond died 1975 
                 in California, at 58 years of age. 
   
      3.   ANna C.2 Hoffmann (PHilipe1) was born in Mishicott, Wis. November 23, 1879.  
             She married Nicholas Peot in Mishicott, Wis., June 2, 1898.  Nicholas 
             was born in Wisconsin June 12, 1871.  He was the son of John Peot.  
             Nicholas died April 20, 1957 in Mishicott, Wis., at 85 years of age. 
             Buried, Holy Cross, Mishicott. 
             ANna died January 29, 1948 in Mishicott, Wis., at 68 years of age. Buried, 
             Holy Cross, Mishicott. Mishicott II Cemetery. 

OBITUARY - TWO RIVERS REPORTER, Jan. 29, 1948.
Mrs. Nicholas Peot, 78, of Mishicot, died at 12:30 this morning at her home after 
an illness of six months. Funeral services for Mrs. Peot will be held Saturday 
morning at nine o'clock from the Specht Funeral Home, followed by services at the 
Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot at 9:30 o'clock. the Rev. George Beth will
officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Mishicot. The body may be 
viewed today at the funeral home where a rosary will be recited there at eight 
o'clock Friday night. Mrs. Peot was born November 23, 1869 in the Town of Mishicot. 
She was the former Anna Hoffman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hoffman. 
She spent the early years of her life with her parents in the town of Mishicot and 
married Nicholas Peot, June 2, 1898, continuing to live in Mishicot until her death. 
Surviving are her husband: one son, Ralph; two daughters, Mrs. Max Terens of 
Manitowoc, and Mrs. Wenzel Ramesh of Maribel, Rt. 1; and one brother, Frank Hoffman 
of Arcadia, California.      

In 1920, they were living in Tn. Mishicot. Barbara, 65, was living with them. They 
still lived in Mishicot in 1940, when Barbara died living with them. 

     	ANna C. Hoffmann and Nicholas Peot had the following children: 

      7  i.     VIvian3 Peot was born in Mishicott, Wis. July 1899.  
                  She married Max Terens in Mishicott, Wis., February 12, 1923.  
                  Married at Holy Cross Church in Mishicott. 
                  Max was born December 8, 1898.  He was the son of Nicolas Terens 
                  and Anna Zander.  Max died August 7, 1979 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 
                  80 years of age.  Buried in Mishicot Cemetery.	
			VIvian died June 28, 1971 in Manitowoc, Wis., at 71 years of age, 
                  at residence, 1858 Clermont St., Manitowoc.  Buried Mishicot

OBITUARY - MANITOWOC HERALD TIMES, June 29, 1971.
Mrs. Max Terens, 71, of 1858 Clermont St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday 
evening at home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and 
Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Pawelski will  officiate and burial 
will be in Mishicot Cemetery. Mrs. Terens, nee Vivian Peot, was born July 5, 1899, 
at Mishicot, daughter of the late Nick and Anna Hoffman Peot. She was married to 
Max Terens in February of 1923 at Mishicot. The couple located in Manitwoc. 
Survivors include her husband, a son, a daughter, a  brother; Ralph, of Rt. 1, 
Maribel, and a grandson. A sister and a brother preceded her in death. Friends 
may call at the funeral home (State Street" entrance), after 4 p.m. Wednesday 
until the time of service.
       			 
      8  ii.    MAbel Peot was born in Mishicott, Wis. September 1, 1901.  
                  She married Wenzel Ramesh in Mishicott, Wis., June 20, 1927
                  Wenzel was born September 27, 1898.  He was the son of Wenzel 
                  Ramesh and Margaret Knap.  Wenzel died February 6, 1974 in 
                  Maribel, Tn. Gibson, Manitowoc Co., Wis., at 75 years of age.  
                  Buried, Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicott.				
                  MAbel died January 1, 1960 in Maribel, Tn. Gibson, Manitowoc 
                  Co., Wis., at 58 years of age.  Buried Holy Cross Cemetery,

OBITUARY - TWO RIVERS REPORTER, Jan. 2, 1960. 
Mrs. Wenzel Ramesh, 58, of Rt. 1, Maribel, Tn. Of Gibson, died at 8 a.m. New Year's 
Day at Holy Family Hospital At Manitowoc where she had been a patient for 10 days. 
Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot 
and at 10 a.m. at St James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, the Rev. Peter Schroeder 
officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot. Mrs. Ramesh, nee Mabel 
Peot, was born Sept. 20, 1901 at Mishicot, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna 
Hoffman Peot. She was graduated from the Mishicot grade school and high school, 
after which she was graduated from the Manitowoc county Normal School at Manitowoc. 
She taught for three years at the La Salle, District No. 4 school in the Town of 
Mishicot. She was married June 20, 1927 to Wenzel Ramesh at Holy Cross Church at 
Mishicot. The couple settled on a farm in the Town of Gibson, where she resided 
since. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Dale and Eugene on the farm home; 
a sister, Mrs. Max Terens of Manitowoc; and a brother, Ralph Peot, of the Town of 
Gibson. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday, where the Rosary 
will be recited at 8 p.m.
   	 
      9  iii.   Ralph Peot was born in Mishicott, Wis. September 23, 1904.  
                  Ralph died December 1977 in Francis Creek, Manitowoc Co., 
                  at 73 years of age. 
      10 iv.    Clarence Peot was born in Mishicott, Wis. January 22, 1912.  
                  Clarence died February 1979 in Green Bay, Brown Co., Wisconsin, 
                  at 67 years of age.
