Amalia Brieske 
Mrs. William A. Brleske, 94, of Elkhart lake, died at Rocky Knoll 
Sanatorium and Hospital Friday after a nine-month illness. 
The former Amelia Henschel was born May 29,1871, in the Town of 
Russell. a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Henschel. attended 
district schools, and was married to Mr. Brieske on June 30, 1893, in the 
Town of Russell. The couple farmed in the Town of Rhine until moving to 
Chilton in 1898, and lived there until 1904 when they moved to Elkhart lake. 
Her husband died in 1928. Mrs. Brieske was a member of Community 
United Church of Christ in Elkhart lake, and its ladies Aid Society. 
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Rom a) Maas of Chilton, 
and Mrs. Michael H. (lydia) Maloney of Sheboygan; two grandchildren; 
and two great grandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held at Community United Church of Christ in 
Elkhart lake. The Rev. Stanley Kuck, pastor, will officiate.
