Anna (Zillmann) Ebert
Anna Ebert (22 Sept. 1865 – 19 Jan. 1946) Mrs. Anna Ebert, nee Zillmann, died Saturday morning, January 19, at the Luther Home at Marinette, Wis., at the age of 80 years, three months and 28 days, influenza and a heart attack being the cause of her departure to her eternal home. Funeral services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby Monday afternoon, Rev. Robert G. Leonhardt, pastor of the First Evangelical and Reformed church, officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Eugene Herrmann sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” and Mrs. Herrmann and son, Eugene, sang “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me.” Pall bearers were N. L. Dessloch, O. J. Dix, Chas. Sabler, Frank Goeltz, Oscar Dittmeyer, Wm. Roth. Mrs. Ebert was born on September 22, 1865, at Kiel, Wisconsin, where she lived with her parents until the death of her father in 1900 when she moved to Manitowoc, Wisconsin, with her mother. In 1906, they moved to Colby where her mother died on October 13, 1910. On September 8, 1914, she was married to Frank Ebert who was called out of this earthly life on July 10, 1938. There were no children born to this union. She resided in Colby until she entered Luther Home at Marinette, Wisconsin, on September 15, 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, Alfred, William, George, Herman, Richard and August, and one sister, Helen. She is survived by one brother, Edwin Zillmann of Colby. Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lein of Marinette, Mr. and Mrs. D. Zillmann of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Zillmann of Baldwin, Clarence Zillmann of Kiel, Fred Decker of New Holstein, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ebert of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ruprich of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blair of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt and son, Alfred, of Milan.
