He was 102 years old. Mr. Kraemer had been ill about two months. He was born April 1, 1862, in the Town of Russell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Kraemer, and was married May 21, 1891, to Rosina Pfeifer at Greenbush. They celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary last May. After their marriage they lived near St. Cloud and then moved to a farm in the Town of Greenbush. Later they moved to the Town of Rhine where they operated a farm until 1949. For the past 15 years they had lived with their children. He was a founding member and served on the building committee at Zion Lutheran Church, Glenbeulah. He was the oldest member of the church. Mr. Kraemer served on the Joliet school board, District 11, for several years. Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Schuricht, Sheboygan, Mrs. Clarence (Thella) Zillmann, Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Henschel, Town of Russell, and Mrs. Alfred (Elda) Bausteiner(?), Town of Rhine; one son, Edgar, Kohler; a niece, Mrs. Alvin Raeder, Town of Greenbush, who was reared by the Kraemers; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Glenbeulah, the Rev. Lester L. Blachoff, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery. John F. Kramer, Elkhart lake, member of the county board and prominently identified for the past several years with public interests in Sheboygan County, died in the Plymouth hospital at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Kramer underwent an operation last Thursday in an effort to save his life, but he was unable to raJly and died after having been unconscious most of yesterday. Apparently he had been in good health until a short time ago because he took an important part in the work of the county board during the session which came to an end early this month. As supervisor from Elkhart lake and a member of the county sanatorium committee and the county road and bridge committee his public duties were exceptlonal heavy. He served two full years on each committee, having been elected to the sanatorium committee at the time of its inception. Many obstacles had to be overcome in making possible the erection of a county tuberculosis sanatorium, and the thoroughness of Mr. Kramer s work, his faculty for giving careful consideration to every problem, made him one of the most valuable members of that committee. The same is true of his efforts on the road and bridge committee. Mr. Kramer was elected to that committee again this fall by a unanimous vote of the county board members. His first term as a member of the county board was begun in 1929 and he served continuously since that year. John F. Kramer was born March 12, 1862, In the town of Rhine, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kramer. On Feb. 19, 1889, he was married to Miss Marie Henschel, daughter of Carl Henschel of the town of Russell, and for seven years the couple made their home on a farm four miles northeast of Elkhart Lake. Then they moved to Milwaukee where Mr. Kramer served as a member of the revenue force, but after a year and a half they moved to St. Lawrence where Mr. Kramer became storekeeper and gauger in a distillery. Ten years later Mr. and Mrs. Kramer moved to Elkhart lake, their home since that time. The survivors are his mother, Mrs. Margaret Kramer, Elkhart Lake; his wife; five children, John H. Kramer, who lives on a farm near Elkhart; Mrs. Arthur Reiss, who lived two miles east of Elkhart, Clarence Kramer, at home, Mrs. Ernst Meyer, Elkhart, and Miss Ella Kramer, Sheboygan, three brothers, Peter and Henry Kramer of Elkhart and Louis of Dallas, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred tagudde, Elkhart, and Mrs. Arthur Boland, Kiel; five grandchildren. One son, William, died twelve years ago at the age of 21, and another son, Alvin, died in infancy. Mr. Kramer belonged in the Modern Woodmen of America and the Elkhart Lake fire department. Until word has been received from louis Kramer, Dallas, Tex., definite funeral arrangement can not be made. Members of the family expect the funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, with services at the home and at St. John s Evangelical church. The Rev. F. W. Zeh will conduct the services. JOHN KRAMER, 72, ELKHART LAKE, DIES TUESDAY Elkhart Lake, Wis-(Special)-Mrs. John Kramer, 72, nee Mary Margaret Henschel, passed away Tuesday at the Plymouth hospital where she underwent an operation a week ago. She seemed to be recovered and was ready to return to her home here when she suffered a heart attack. Deceased was born in town Russell on Nov. 11, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Henschel. She was married to John Kramer of Town Russell on Feb. 19, 1889, and the couple lived on a farm now occupied by Frank Wriedt. The family moved to Elkhart Lake for a short time and then moved to St. Lawrence, Wis., for a period of 10 years before returning to Elkhart Lake where they have resided since. Survivors are two sons, John and Clarence of Elkhart Lake; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Elizabeth) Riess of Town Rhine; Mrs. Ernie (Anna) Mayer of Elkhart Lake, and Mrs. Ella Knoch of Milwaukee; two brothers, Gustave Henschel of Town Russell and Adolph Henschel of Elkhart Lake; three sisters, Mrs. John Kessell and Mrs. William Brieske of Elkhart Lake, and Mrs. William Mayer of Chilton; and six grandchildren.
