The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Kuhn, the deceased was born Feb. 23, 1869, on the present farm homestead where he spent his entire life. He was married to Julia Dessloch on April 21, 1901. Mr. Kuhn was actively engaged in farming on the farm now operated by his son, Roland, until his retirement. He was treasurer of the Harrison school in the town of Rhine for many years. Survivors are the widow; three sons, Milton, Port Washington, Dr. Raymond Kuhn, Oshkosh, and Roland, at home; two brothers, William of Elkhart Lake, and John of Plymouth; one sister, Mrs. William (Clara) Zoberlein, Plymouth, and four grandchildren. An infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at the Raeder Funeral home, Elkhart Lake and at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church in the town of Rhine. The Rev. Paul Thomas, pastor, and the Rev. Elmer Becker, Elkhart Lake, will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Sheboygan Press July 19, 1948 ********* Mrs. Julia Kuhn, 80, widow of Louis, died this morning at her home in the Town of Rhine, R. 1, Elkhart Lake. She had been in ill health for several years. She was born Dec. 31, 1878, in the Town of Rhine, the daughter of the late Jacob and Barbara Rader Dessloch. She received her education in the district school in the Town of Rhine and was married to Louis Kuhn there April 21, 1901. The couple operated the Kuhn homestead farm, now owned by their son, Roland J. Kuhn. Her husband preceded her in death July 17, 1948. She was a member of the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Rhine and also the church's Ladies Aid Society. Survivors include three sons, Milton of Glendora, Calif., Ray of Oshkosh and Roland. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1903, one sister and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Rhine with the Rev. Milton J. Kading, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
