He was born Dec. 17, 1863, In Town Russell and was married to Mary Ranz of Green Bay on Feb. 12, 1895, and the family resided on the farm near St. Ann since. His wife passed away May 17, 1938. Survivors are four sons, Arthur of New Holstein, Oscar of Town Russell, Irvin of Milwaukee, and Edward of Marinette. Nine grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a. m. at the residence and at 10 a. m. at St. Ann's Catholic church in St. Ann. The Rev. Father Clemence Kern will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Sheboygan Press, Wed. May 8, 1942, p. 13, c. 4 ******** Christian Meyer Is Laid To Rest Following Rites Elkhart Lake, Wis. — Funeral services for Christian Meyer, lifelong resident of the town of Russell, who passed away Monday, May 31, at St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan, were held at 10 a.m. last Friday at St. Ann's Catholic church. The Rev. Clemens Kern officiated and interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Schmitz, Leo and Edmund Turba, Ralph Langenfeld, Carl Hoffman and John Freund. Deceased was born Dec. 17, 1863, in the town of Russell, where he always lived on the farm now operated by his son, Oscar. On Feb. 12, 1895, he was married to Miss Mary Ranz, who preceded him in death four years ago. After the death of his wife, he made his home with his children. Survivors are four sons, Oscar on the homestead, Arthur of New Holstein, Irvin of Milwaukee and Edward of Marinette, and nine grandchildren.
