Patrick and Mary were married at St. Ann church in June of 1887. Mary (born 29 Oct. 1864 in Russell township) was the oldest daughter of John and Maria Keenan and my grandmother, Kathryn's sister. Patrick and Mary lived in the Hilbert area. On April 27th 1892, Mary died during childbirth. In 1901, Patrick married his first wife's niece, Jennie Keenan. Anton married Anna Katharina Halfmann in Nürburg, Rhineland on February 12, 1832. Anna Katharina was born to Arnold and Anna Appolonia (Schloesser) Halfmann in Bruck (Brucktal), Rhineland on January 22, 1813. Anton and Anna Katharina decided to emigrate from their home in Bruck, Rhineland to the United States. On June 18, 1852, Anton, Anna Katharina, and seven children arrived on the ship Hero in New York City, and the family settled in Calumet Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The family purchased about 40 acres of land one mile west of Marytown, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin at a cost of $230.00 on July 10, 1852 (the family purchased an additional 120 acres of land near Marytown, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin between 1855 and 1861). Anton died in Marytown, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin on June 9, 1887, and Anna Katharina died in Marytown, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin on February 16, 1882. Children: 1. Peter Muellenbach b. [Note: Immigration records from Castle Garden, New York City indicate that John Joseph Müllenbach, age 13, was not aboard the ship Hero that arrived in New York City with his parents and seven siblings on June 18, 1852. Records from Kelberg, Rhineland indicate that John Joseph Muellenbach was born to Anton and Anna Katharina (Halfmann) Muellenbach on April 28, 1839, and that he emigrated to the U.S. in 1868. Dr. Freund's book, Emigration Records from the Eifel Region, 1834-1911, indicates that Johann Joseph Müllenbach, aged 29 years, emigrated to the U.S. in 1868. Immigration records from Castle Garden, New York City indicate that Johann Müllenbach, aged 29 years, arrived on the steamship Virginia at Castle Garden, New York City on April 25, 1868. It not currently known why John Joseph remained in the Rhineland in 1852 when the rest of his family emigrated to the U.S. It is also not known why he decided to emigrate to the U.S. in 1868, some 16 years after his family had done so. Nicholas was born May 1, 1867 and died Jan. 31, 1931. Margaret was born Dec. 1, 1871 and died June 2, 1965. They were married July 2, 1907. His parents are Arnold Muellenbach and Elizabeth Koenings. He is the Nicholas in the family photo on the web site. Arnold and Elizabeth Muellenbach are also buried at St. Charles Cemetery.
