Ninmer in the town of Schleswig, Henry Wriedt, 78, well-known resident of Manitowoc county, passed away at 2 a.m. Sunday after an illness of a month. He had made his home with his daughter for the past two years. The son of Johann and Amelia Wriedt, the deceased was born on April 29, 1859, on a farm in the town of Schleswig. He was united in marriage in 1888, to Miss Mary Radder, also of Schleswig, and the couple made their home in Steinthal for two years. For ten years they made their home on the Wriedt homestead, where Mrs. Wriedt passed away in 1910. Fourteen years later Mr. Wriedt married Mrs. Magdalena Frick of Sheboygan, who preceded her husband in death October 9, 1934. From 1919 to 1935 the deceased made his home in Kiel, after disposing of his farm. Since 1935 he made his home with his daughter in Schleswig. Nine children survive their father, namely: Mrs. Edward Arnold, Mrs. Otto Ninmer, Mrs. Edwin Ninmer, Mrs. George Ninmer, Mrs. Elmer Ninmer, all of the town of Schleswig; Mrs. Ben Strassmann of Green Bay; Mrs. Ralph Man???? of North Carolina; William Wriedt of Cooperstown and August Wriedt of the town of Liberty. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Carl of Kiel and Frank of the town of Russell; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Dedering of Plymouth, Mrs. Lena Gierke of New Holstein; Mrs. Anna Bechle of Kiel and Mrs. Bertha Bechle of the town of Eaton; and two stepsons, Arno Frick of Sheboygan and Hartman Frick of Milwaukee. One sister, Mrs. Albert Schultz of Kiel preceded him in death several years ago. Funeral services were held from the C.J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home here Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., and at two o'clock at the Bethlehem Evangelical and Reformed church in the town of Schleswig. The Rev. August H. Hammann, pastor, and the Rev. H.L. Worthman of this city were officiating clergymen. Interment was made in the adjoining church cemetery. She was married to Jacob Frick of Plymouth and the couple resided on a farm about two and one-half miles west of Plymouth. To this union six children were born of whom four passed away in their youth. Mr. Frick passed away in 1900. On January 27, 1914 the deceased was married to Henry Wriedt and the couple have resided here ever since with the exception of five years when they lived on a farm near here. Survivors are her husband, two sons, Hartmann Frick of Milwaukee and Arno Frick of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Melvin and Marcella Frick of Milwaukee; and one brother, John Fischer of Milwaukee. Nine step-children also survive, namely: Mrs. Edward Arnold of here, Mrs. Otto Ninmer, Schleswig; Mrs. Edwin Ninmer, Schleswig; Mrs. Benjamin Strassmann, Jacksonport; Mrs. George Ninmer, Schleswig; Mrs. Ralph Mangum, Ashville, N.C.; Mrs. Elmer Ninmer, Schleswig; William Wriedt, Tisch Mills; and August Wriedt, town of Liberty. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the family residence, St. Paul Street, and at two o'clock with services at the St. Peter Reformed church. The Rev. E.L. Worthman will officiate and burial will be made in the Plymouth city cemetery, beside her first husband, the late Mr. Frick.
