WILLIAM J. KIELSMEIER
(1930 • 2012)

William J. Kielsmeier, age 81, of 10002 Center Road, Newton, passed away peacefully into eternal life surrounded by his family, early Saturday morning, April 28, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
William was born July 8, 1930 to the late Oscar and Elsie Bremke Kielsmeier. He attended Point Rivers School in the town of Centerville. William proudly served in the United States Navy as the crew chief for the Blue Angels flight team. After his honorable discharge from the Navy William found adventure in California selling cars. Years later he returned home and became employed with the Kohler Company. On July 9, 1960 William was united in marriage to Yvonne Blanchard at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. William and Yvonne then moved to Sheboygan for the next 12 years where William was active with the United Auto Workers Local Union #833 as the chief steward. Together they raised four children and opened their home to provide foster care for years to come. William was employed at the Kohler Company for the next 29 years where he played a dominating role as a chief union steward. He had a passion for gardening and enjoyed selling his produce at local farmers markets. William always had a love for animals and for many years ran a hobby farm. He was a long-time supporter in the local 4-H programs. William had a great gift of gab and was very active member of his church, St. John’s United Church of Christ in Manitowoc where he also served on the church council. After his retirement William loved to vacation with his wife and family in the Gulf Coast region.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Yvonne; four children: Michelle (Michael) Pozorski, Manitowoc, Renee (Bruce) Conard, Manitowoc; Daniel (Renee) Kielsmeier, Manitowoc; William (Allen” Kielsmeier at home; seven grandchildren: Fawn (Patrick) Oehlke, Tim (Samantha) Conard, D. J. Kielsmeier, Tucker Kielsmeier, Kersten Kielsmeier, Mike Pozorski Jr., Maria Pozorski; five great grandchildren: Hailey, Hannah and Hunter Conard, Logan and Levi Ohlke; two sisters: Carolyn Hanson, Port Washington; Irene (Vernon) Feldt, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Olive Sommers and Violet Cook; three brothers: Donald, Teddy and Melvin Kielsmeier.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1501 Marshall Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. James Klein with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, town of Centerville. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00.

PASTOR LEONARD STOCKMEIER Reverend Leonard Frederick Paul Stockmeier, of Tucson, AZ, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and loyal friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Tucson, AZ. He was born on May 11, 1925, in Sheboygan, WI, to his father, Frederick Christoph Stockmeier, and mother, Zilla (Rodewald) Stockmeier. The youngest of five children, Leonard learned German in the family home and attended White Trail Elementary School in Newton and Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, WI. He attended Mission House (now Lakeland) College and Seminary, receiving his Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1950. While a seminary student, he met and dated Alice Paschen, Professor of English and Dean of Women. Alice was a daughter of William and Marie (Rice) Paschen. They were married on June 17, 1950, in Kaukauna, WI. Leonard was ordained and installed as a minister of the Word and Sacraments in 1950 at Campbellsport, WI, Evangelical and Reformed Church. He also served a pastorate at Hosmer, SD (Reformed Church, USA). In 1957, he attended Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, for one year and was ordained and installed in the Colton Christian Reformed Church, Colton SD, in 1958. Other pastorates in the CRC included Sheboygan, WI, Phoenix, AZ, Corsica, SD, and Prairie City, IA. He retired from the pastorate to Tucson in 1987. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gail Frances (Stockmeier) and Harvey Jansen; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig Allen and Grazyna (Rajkowska). He is also survived by grandchildren Aaron and Mikala Jansen, Mark and Katrina Jansen, Alex and Katie Jansen, Michael Jansen, Cameron Stockmeier, Joel Stockmeier, Scott and Alison Marie (Stockmeier) Poling, and Thomas Rajkowski, and beloved great granddaughters Kaila, Dakota and Abigail Poling, Amara Jansen and Payton Jansen and great grandson Levi Jansen. He is survived by sister Ruth (Stockmeier) Hopkins, sister-in-law Frances Paschen, nephew Jim and Sharon Rammer, nephew John Rammer, nephew James and Pat Heinz, niece Phyllis (Heinz) and Jan Walker, niece Joyce Lorfeld, nephew John and Patty Lorfeld, nieces Janet (Hopkins) and Don Vogt and Sharon (Hopkins) and Ken Tienor, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Florence (Stockmeier) and Allyn Heinz and Althea (Stockmeier) and Herbert Lorfeld, brother Reinhold and Grace Stockmeyer, nephew Daniel Stockmeyer, and brother-in-law Warren Hopkins. The family will greet relatives and friends at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 7411 Center Rd. Manitowoc, WI 54220 (former address: 6425 CTY TRK C, Town of Newton, WI) on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m., Jan. 19. Rev. Kyle Sorensen will officiate with burial to follow at St. John's Ebenezer Reformed Church Cemetery in the nearby town of Centerville. Also, a memorial service will be held at Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church in Tucson, AZ, on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. Gifts in his memory may be given to Desert Christian Schools in Tucson, AZ and The Back to God Hour in Palos Heights, IL.
