OLIVA BLIMEL GIRL IS KILLED AS CAR LEAVES ROAD OLIVE BLIMMEL (sic), 17, VICTIM OF AUTO ACCIDENT Sister, Driving Car Near Menchalville, Loses Control, Other Mishaps Over Weekend One fatal automobile accident and several minor mishaps over the three day holiday period were added to the constantly mounting toll in Manitowoc county, a 17 year old county girl meeting death on County Trunk H at an early hour this morning. No persons were brought to the hospital as a result of other crashes in the county and no others are known to have been seriously injured. Miss Olive Blimmel, the 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blimmel, residing on Route 6, about nine miles north of Manitowoc, died of internal injuries at the offices of Dr. Guttman at Kellnersville early this morning. Miss Blimmel was seated in the front seat of a Chevrolet laundau driven by her 19 year old sister, Lorraine Blimmel, when the machine rolled over three times to land in a ditch about half mile this side of Menchalville. The accident occurred about 1 this morning. According to those accompanying the Blimmel girls to a dance at Menchalville, the party was returning at the time of the accident. Coming down a hill, the machine suddenly swerved to the right and Miss Blimmel, the driver, south to swing it back into the roadway but swung it too far as it skidded into the ditch on the left side of the road. None of the other five passengers complained of any hurts, but Miss Blimmel told of having pains in her stomach and she was rushed to the office of Dr. Guttman by Edward Yohanek, Kellnersville garage man, who appeared shortly after the accident. She lost consciousness en route to the physician’s office but recovered under stimulants and repeated her story just before she died. Father Arrives Too Late. Immediately after the accident the parents were notified and the girl’s father rushed to the scene but he was too late, arriving a few moments after his daughter had expired. She lived only about 15 minutes after the car rolled over. Occupants of the car who escaped without injuries were Lorraine Blimmel, the driver of the car, Emil and Ludmilla Shoulek of Branch, and Harvey Sempler and Harry Zinkel of Manitowoc. Emil Shoulek and the two Blimmel girls were seated in the front with the others occupying the rear seats. Funeral Thursday.
