ANTON NEUSER LIVED IN THIS COUNTY FOR NEARLY FOUR SCORE Y?RS Anton Neuser is Dead at Reifs Mills Anton Neuser, 86, resident of Manitowoc county for nigh onto seventy years, sixty-eight to be exact, died at the little family home at Reif?s Mills some time during Sunday night, his dead body having been found in bed Monday morning when members of the family tried to call him. He had complained Sunday of not being in his usual good health and after a walk of two miles to the old homestead saying that he felt a bit weak. He retired early and asked for more covers as he felt chilled. Death occurred sometime during the night and came peacefully as the man had lived. Eighty-Six Years of Age Mr. Neuser was born in Germany and in June would have celebrated his eighty-sixth birthday anniversary. He came to Manitowoc county to make his home at the age of eighteen and four years later was married to the widow who survives him. For years the family made its home on a farm near Reif?s Mills but fifteen years ago, transferred the farm to one of the children and took up their residence at the village. The aged pair have made regular trips to their old farm home and although the distance was over two miles, they always preferred to walk rather than ride. Forty-Nine Grandchildren. Besides the widow, three daughters, Mrs. John Seibl, near the old homestead; Mrs. Henry Meyer, North Ninth street, Mrs. Anna Schroeder, Washington street, city; Peter, North Tenth street, and Charles, Kossuth, survive. Two brothers, William and Charles, city, and forty-nine grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning with services at St. Augustine?s Catholic church, at Reif?s Mills, the Rev. Vondrechek officiating. DAVID L. STENZEL David Lee (RED) King Stenzel has finally reached his eternal rest, February 11, 1992, at time while exiting the Bay in Dykesville from ice fishing with his friend, Sonny Kohlbeck. He was transported to the St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay where he was pronounce dead from an instant massive heart attack. The body was cremated and there will be a memorial service at a later date. Reverend Carl Peters with Faith Lutheran in Valders will be in charge. Since Red's visit began on earth, August 15, 1931, son of Florence King Stenzel, he grew up in the Valders area until the age of sixteen at which time he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean War and held the position of Sergeant. He had flown 85 missions, and was the most decorated. He had attended Valders Public School. He had been employed by WC1 (Kelvinator) until the time of the company closure in the Manitowoc area. Due to major health complications which completely disabled him, was unable to return to any work field as of May, 1991. Red was very active in the Manitowoc County through dartball, pool, bowling, baseball, stock car racing, trap, Manitowoc Fish and Game as a Board of Director, Whitelaw Sportsman and the Manitowoc County Tavern League. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting, along with doing many cookouts with his famous BBQ Chicken. He married the former Nancy Kuehnl Korinek on December 15, 1973, and the marriage was blessed on January 29 at St. Anne Parish, Francis Creek, by Reverend James Massart. He is survived by Nancy; step son, Mark Korinek of Whitelaw; step daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda (Steve) Guay in Brewer, Maine; step son, Phil in Brewer, Maine; son Daniel and daughter-in-law (Laura), in Hudson, N.H.; grandsons, Davey and Adam, and six step grandchildren along with special Eric and Linda Vainio in Enfield, Maine. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, in Maine; a son, David II in Maine; his father, and Walter Stenzel who had reared him; godson Allen, other relatives and friends. Now he can finally soar with the Eagles like a pure white dove and his famous saying will got to rest with him: "I heard a crash on the runway but now I can hear them pray." Red certainly has gone through a great deal during the past several years, with dying and being brought back to life in 1991, along with being missing in action twice during the war and the many other anguishes during his second life coming. Certainly he has earned a final place in the Heavens. To all my special close friends such as Sonny, Leo, Eddie, Art, Booster, Denver and Donny, I will be watching over you to make sure that you all have a safe journey during the course of your fishing and hunting excursions. Therefore, I will save a place for you all in the next sportsman place. Please have no pity for me because my grief and pain has ceased and you all have to go on to meet yours. No one knows all the pain that Nancy, Mark and I have endured because you weren't there behind the scenes during our private time. Earth was just a stop over to eternal life. If you didn't talk to me when I was here, don't talk about me when I'm gone. There will be no visitation and the Jens Crematory Funeral Home in Manitowoc will have taken care of the arrangements out of Green Bay. Gen. 3, 19. "Remember, man, that thou art dust, and into dust thou shalt return." Please remember that some day you too will be leaving a note such as this to all your surviving friends. Don't weep for me, but remember me as I was. Big Red. The family requests no florals. Manitowoc Herald Times February 13, 1992 pg. A7

DANIEL F. TISLER Farmer Killed in Freak Accident Tisler Electrocuted on Whitelaw Farm. The father pulled his son from the wires and carried him into the home, summoning Dr. E. C. Cary of Reedsville. When the latter arrived, the victim was dead. Also called were Sheriff Clarence Bayrenbruch and Coroner Theodore Teitgen, who made the run to the Tisler farm with an inhalator in 12 minutes, but found the farmer had died.
