Theresia Predl. She was born March 2, 1809 in Stachesried, Bavaria, Germany 
and died August 31, 1890 in Kossuth, Wisconsin.

d. April 13, 1919 in Francis Creek; m. Anna Maria Gerowitz on 
November 14, 1866 in Kossuth. She was b. 1845 in Bohemia and d. 
June 8, 1883 in Francis Creek. Peter and Anna had nine children: 
Mary, Frances, Joseph, Peter, Johann, Treas, Frank Bernard, Anna 
and Charles.
 
3. Mary Augustin, b. March 5, 1842 in Stachesried, Bavaria, Germany;
d. February 15, 1899, Cato Town, Wisconsin; m. Michael Brunner 
on November 14, 1860 in Kossuth. He was b. January 28, 1825 in
Austria/Bohemia and d. May 1, 1895. Mary and Michael had 
eleven children: Anna, Michael, Mary, Joseph, Tressie, Barbara,
Martin, George, Frank, Anton and Frances.

4. Theresa Augustin, b. October 25, 1844 in Stachesried, Bavaria, 
Germany; d. (of heart failure) WFT Est. 1845-1938, Francis Creek, 
Wisconsin; m. Joseph Basel on December 29, 1864 in Kellnersville, 
Wisconsin. He was b. June 27, 1832 in Danau (Hajek) Bohemia, 
Czech and d. December 24, 1881 in Basel Farm, Whitelaw, 
Wisconsin. Theresa and Joseph had eleven children: Anna, Peter, 
Barbara, Veronika, Joseph, Theresa, Mary, Francesca, Margaretha,
John and Charles.
 
5. Anna Augustin, b. July 29, 1847 in Stachesried, Bavaria, Germany;
d. March 17, Whitelaw, Wisconsin; m(1). Michael Wellner on 
September 3, 1867 in Reifs Mills. He was b. August 19, 1845 in 
Bavaria, Germany and d. July 21, 1888 in Branch, Wisconsin; 
m(2). Anton Koerner on September 3, 1900 in Whitelaw, 
Wisconsin. He was b. December 14, 1853 in Pelsen, Bohemia.
Anna and Michael had ten children: George, Barbara, Michael,
Anna, John, Mary, Margarette, Veronica, Rose and Frances.

Joseph Anthony Augustin was born May 29, 1836 in Stachesried, 
Bavaria, Germany and died August 27, 1915 in Kossuth, Wisconsin. He
married Barbara Bredl June 27, 1860 in Francis Creek, Wisconsin,
daughter of Wolfgang Bredl and Barbara Ruby. She was born May 31, 1835 in 
Bohemia, Germany and died March 17, 1917 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Obituary:
FRANCIS CREEK PIONEER DIES AT AGE 80. Joseph Augustin, pioneer settler of 
the county and one of its oldest residents is dead at his home at Francis 
Creek aged 80 years. Mr. Augustin was 80 years old on May 29 and had spent a 
large portion of his life in this country. Besides an aged wife, decedent is 
survived by nine children, fifty-four grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at Francis Creek, Monday 
morning at 10 o'clock.

January 9, 1932, Springfield, Minnesota; m. Frank Muhlbauer, 1880
and had three children: Mary, Anna and Julia.

2. Francis "Frank" Xavior Augustin, b. April 28, 1862 in Kossuth,
Wisconsin; d. July 12, 1939, Cato Town, Wisconsin; Occupation:
Dairy Farmer; m. Juliana Seibert, September 28, 1886, Francis
Creek, Wisconsin and had eleven children: Mary, George Peter,
Anna T., Helena J. (d. of a burst appendix), Frances M., two 
unnamed twin brothers who died shortly after birth and were 
buried with each other, Anton F. (Occupation: attorney),
Theresa J. (was Sister Prudentiana, Occupation: convent teacher), 
Bernard C. (d. heart attack), and John Charles (d. heart attack). 

3. Anna Augustin, b. January 2, 1864, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; d. 1953,
Manitowoc, Wisconsin; m. August Delsman November 29, 1884,
Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Church affiliation: Catholic.

4. Frances Franciska Augustin, b. August 21, 1865 in Manitowoc,
Wisconsin; d. March 1943; m. Nicholas Engeldinger and had seven
children: Mary, Johanna, Rose, Frances (was Sister Azarias), Anna,
Honorah (was Sister Nicolata), and Stella.

7. Anthony (Anton) Joseph Augustin (Occupation: carpenter); b. July

pelvis--victim of a hit and run accident) in Omaha, Nebraska; m. 
Fannie Henrietta Beckman December 23, 1896 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska 
and had four children: Bernard Joseph, Barbara M., Anthony Charles 
and Ann Irene (occupation: Jewelry store owner).

Wisconsin; d. May 8, 1958, Kossuth, Wisconsin.

Francis Creek, Wisconsin and had seven children: Caroline, Marie,

Charles Frank Augustine was born November 26, 1874 in Manitowoc, 
Wisconsin and died May 8, 1958 in Kossuth, Wisconsin. He married Susana Susan
Clara Andres who was born November 15, 1882 in Wisconsin and died May 6, 
1958 in Kossuth, Wisconsin. They were married on February 10, 1902 at St. 
Augustine's Church in Kossuth, Wisconsin by Rev. Vorlicek. This church was 
built by the Augustine ancestors and named after them.

Hildegard R. Johnsrud, age 88, formerly of 1413 S. 13th St., a
resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center since December 1, 
1998, passed away on January 8, 1999 at Holy Family Memorial
Medical Center, Manitowoc.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 
11, 1999, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating will
be Rev. Camillus Janas O.F.M., with burial of her cremated remains
at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Hildegard was born on September 24, 1910, in Manitowoc, Wis.,
daughter of the late Charles and Susan Andres Augustine. She 
married Melvin Johnsrud on December 7, 1927, in Chicago, Ill. He
preceded her in death, in June of 1974. Hildegard was employed at
Manitowoc Cold Storage, ABC Supermarket, Stocks Consumer
Discount Store, Stocks Super Club and also at the Manitowoc County
Hospital for many years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of St.
Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter,
two sisters, and other relatives and friends also
survive. She was preceded in death by six brothers and seven 
sisters.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Monday from 4 
p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

7. Loretta M. Augustine, b. January 21, 1912 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin; 
d. November 13, 1995 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin at age 83;
m. October 5, 1929 to John "Jake" Horn, d. September 27, 1977.
Jake and Loretta had four children:

Obituary:
Loretta M. Horn, age 83, of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, November 13, 1995 at the 
Care Center.
There will be no services. She donated her body to Medical
College, Wauwatosa, Wis.
She was born January 21, 1912, daughter of Susan (Andres)
Augustine. On October 5, 1929 she married Jake Horn.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, one son 
and daughter-in law; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-
grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters and two 
brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake, in 
September 27, 1977, and a daughter, Janet, in 1970, also 
six brothers and four sisters.
She was a great lady and will be dearly missed by her children,
relatives and many, many friends.

Edna R. Doperalski (nee Augustine). Oct. 30, 1999 at the age of 84
years. 
Edna was pre-deceased by her parents and 16 brothers and sisters.
Further survived by 6 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wed. (TODAY), Nov.
3, 1999 at 4 PM at St. James Historic Chapel, W220 N6588 
Townline Rd., Menomonee Falls. Burial Thurs. 10 !M at St. James 
Rosehill Cemetery. visitation Wed. (TODAY), 3 PM until time of the
Mass at the church. Memorials to St. James Catholic Church
appreciated.
Edna raised and sold Christmas trees at Fir-Evergreen Acres.
She was a very caring and loving person and will be greatly
missed by her family and friends.

Manitowoc. Rev. Arno Wolfgramm and Rev. Bruce Biter will
officiate with burial at Knoll Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday at First German Church from 
10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.

He married Loretta Marie Albright on February 10, 1934 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was born on April 8, 1907 and died March 3, 1955 of breast cancer in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Edward G. Albright who was born in 1877 and died (February?) 1926, and Mary Lindermann Albright who was born in 1881 and died (April?) 1947. Edward and Mary were married on May 16, 1906. Notes for Victor B. Augustine: Birth Certificate recorded in Vol. 14, page 140, #5-24878 of Births for Manitowoc County, Wisconsin incorrectly lists Victor's name as Chas. Augustine and indicates that the birth was reported by C.M. Gleason. On October 11, 1958 he married the widow of John Hoffman, Anna M. Hoffman (nee LaFave), b. July 4, 1906 in Marinette County, Wisconsin. This second marriage ended in divorce. Occupations: Clerk, Press Operator, Floor Sander, Watchman. Served in the U.S. Army: November 21, 1927 to November 21, 1930.. Burial: Body donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin. Notes for Loretta Augustine: Occupation: Housewife.
