Ontario Birth Registrations
Transcriptions of Ontario Birth Registrations covering the period 1869 to 1905, most Ontario counties and districts. Daily postings are highlighted at the top of this page. Civil registration began in Ontario on July 1, 1869, the early births were not always registered. Prior to 1869 you would need to check church records. Check the Archives of Ontario website for more on parish registers. Ellis Island Millions of Ellis Island records will be going online here.

Norwegian Databases This looks like a great site with a lot of databases. Some instructions in English some in Norwegian. Most of the site is in Norwegian. Worth a try.

Manitowoc County Civil War Roundtable A new site just starting up.
The Civil War Lady She does lookups on many states rosters. Lists The government has put the casualties from the Korean war and the Vietnam war online, listed by state then by county Patriot Lookup Service The DAR will search their database of proven Revolutionary patriots free of charge. Andersonville Prison site He will do lookups and take pictures. Some services have a fee involved. He also has links to a database put on by the Macon County Chamber of Commerce. World War II Database Click on "War Dead" then "World War II" then "listing of WWII database" click on "UNIT" then enter the unit if you have it. You also can search by name at this site.

Geographic Nameserver If you don't know where the town your looking for is, try this site and you should be able to find it. Satellite maps This is a link to a zoomable satellite map which covers most of the United States and Europe. You can even see the houses and roads, etc. For those of you who want to see what the area looked like that your ancestors lived in, it's worth a visit. It has a search engine to input the name of the town, etc. Lotsa Maps The 1895 United States Atlas is online. If you're having trouble finding a town or county, check this out. *********** Modern Woodmen of America life insurance records are available to help verify information and can help you continue in the right direction on your family research.
