Then to the grand peals from the organ upon the playing of the "Wedding March" they slowly proceeded down the aisle to the foot of the altar. Little Catherine Schulte, a niece of the bride, acting as flower girl and carrying a basket of red roses led the bride escort, being followed by the Misses Eleanor Schulte and Clarissa Martens dressed in gowns of white net over green silk, wearing white picture hats trimmed with white plumes, the Misses Lucy and Ida Schulte dressed in gowns of white net over pink silk and wearing picture hats. The bridesmaids all being nieces of the bride. Then came the maid of honor Miss Agnes Knauf, carrying the bride's shower bouquet of white roses and the best man, Mr. L.M. Kohlbeck; the maid of honor wearing a gown of champagne colored chiffon cloth over taffeta trimmed with St. Gault lace and hand embroidered net and a lace hat trimmed with plumes; the best man wearing a suit of conventional black. Then followed the bride and groom, the bride wearing a gown of white batiste trimmed in Irish crochet and val lace, while the groom wore the conventional black. Rev. Kuhl was the officiating clergyman at the ceremony, which was characterized by its excellent singing by the Misses Thikla Hoffmann and Margaret Salm and Sister Davidica of Manitowoc as accompanist on the organ. After the ceremony the wedding party returned to the Schulte home where a sumptuous dinner was served. The tables and the dining room itself being most prettily decorated, by a large wedding bell hanging over the center table, from which beautiful streamers and festooning stretched to the ends of the table, beautiful flowers being everywhere in evidence. The Rest of the house with its decorations and autumnal effects lent a charm of added significance to the impressiveness of the occasion and season. The Germania band of Centerville appeared upon the scene in the evening to serenade the worthy and happy couple, and so amidst the strains of sweet and joyous music and the various games and amusements that were indulged in, the evening passed altogether too quickly to the assembled happy gathering of friends and relatives. Among the people coming from a distance were parties from Algona, Forestville, /Sheboygan, Plymouth, and Chicago. As evidence of the esteem in which the worthy couple is held by their friends and acquaintances the large number of beautiful presents bore ample testimony. Accompanied by a host of old time friends to the depot, Sunday afternoon, amidst the well wishes of worthy friends and admiring neighbors, proud to do them honor on this occasion, they boarded the south bound 5 o'clock train for a wedding tour of various southern places. The bride is one of our most highly esteemed young ladies, having taught school for a number of years and traveled very extensively both in this country and abroad, visiting Egypt and Jerusalem and the various points of interest and note on the way, but a few years ago. But now the traveler's gown and teacher's ferule are laid aside and the call of the hearth and fireside have been answered. The bride possesses in a marked degree the noble qualities that tend to the reigning of cheer and the making of a happy and blessed home. Returning they will make their home at Algoma where the groom enjoys a prosperous business, being a merchant tailor and dealer in Gents furnishing goods. The young people have and are well deserving of the congratulations and well wishes of a host of admiring friends, whose name is legion. Your friends bid you God speed, and wish you all the blessing that Life doth hold. Manitowoc Pilot, Wis., Thursday, October 15, 1908 pg. 8 ***** Notes From Centerville: The misses Margaret and Josephine Schulte returned to Oshkosh last Monday morning to resume their studies at the Normal, having been here to attend the wedding of their aunt Helen to Mr. Jos. Kohlbeck of Algoma. Manitowoc Pilot, Wis., Thursday, October 15, 1908 pg. 8

While expected for some time by their acquaintances the date of the wedding had been kept a propound secret, and it was over and the young people away upon their honeymoon before the news leaked out. Both Mr. and Mrs. Koutnik are widely acquainted in the city and deservedly popular. The groom is a young man of force and action, his qualities, which have made him a successful business man, leading the mayor to appoint him recently to a vacancy in the city Police and Fire Commission. Of his bride it will suffice to state the fact that Mr. Koutnik will be universally congratulated. Manitowoc Pilot, Wis., Thursday, November 5, 1908 pg. 1
