He has not yet decided in just what style he will wear them, but after he gets through experimenting in the different styles of "long cut" and "short cut" and gets tired of listening to advice upon the subject he will probably conclude to wear them on the inside.

Case of Necedah, Wis., Mr. L. J. Nash to Miss Emma A. Guyles. Manitowoc Pilot, Thurs., Sept. 6, 1917 ***** Personal: Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Nash: celebrated the 25th anniversary of their marriage on Saturday last. A large number of friends were present. These have been 25 years of happiness to this couple now starting in to walk down the shady slope of life. Manitowoc Pilot, Wis., Thursday, September 8, 1898 pg. 3 ***** From the Files of the Pilot - Fifty Years Ago - (1873) Married in this city, Sept. 2, 1873 by the Rev. G. W. Case of Necedah, Wis., Mr. L. J. Nash to Miss Emma A. Guyles. If we know of any unhackneyed phrase in which to clothe our congratulations to the happy couple we would greatly avail ourselves of it, but it is the old story ever new, on which so much has been said that there remains nothing beyond the oft repeated good wishes for their future wedded life, leaving us in the "sere and yellow leaf to reflect on the wisdom of the maxim "go and do likewise." During the dull season the legal fraternity seem to be solacing themselves with other 'briefs' our talented and rising young lawyer having received the prize in Cupid's Court, whose terms are for time and eternity. May flowers bloom in their pathway always. Manitowoc Pilot, Thurs., Aug. 30, 1923 *********** 50th Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Nash Mr. and Mrs. Lyman J. Nash celebrated the golden anniversary of their wedding at their home on Michigan Ave., last Sunday. There was no formal observance and the occasion was limited to a family reunion and the reception of friends who called during the day to express congratulations. After the wedding in 1873 the young couple made their home at Michigan Avenue and Fifteenth Streets and in 1876 moved a short block east to Fourteenth Street where they still reside. Mrs. Nash's maiden name was Emma A. Guyles. She was born at Waukegan, Ill., in 1848, a daughter of Capt. John F. and Lydia A. Guyles. The family came to Manitowoc in 1856 and Capt. Guyles was for years a prominent lumberman and mill owner here. Mr. Nash is a son of Frances and Catherine Van Bergen Nash. He was born on a farm in New Orleans County, New York State in 1845. The family settled in Rock County, Wis., in 1851 where Lyman spent his youth. The young people were fellow students at Lawrence College and after graduation, Mr. Nash came to Manitowoc in 1870 as principal of the North Side School. While teaching, he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1872. He was soon in the front rank of his profession and for four decades was among the busiest and most successful lawyers of the state. In 1910 he accepted an appointment as state reviser of statutes, a new office tendered him by the state supreme court and in it he performed a great work for ten years in an unmapped field, where his faculty for legal terminology, his scholarship and industry achieved a result that few outside the profession can properly appreciate. In the community life, Mr. Nash has been ever subject to a call. He served in many offices that would not take him from his beloved law; on school boards and library and college boards and in minor political offices. He was fitted by natural gifts, intellectual attainments, temperment and habits of incessant toil to achieve distinction on the bench of any court in ? But he loved his place at the advocates table and in the best opposing ?? their mettle which they met ??. It is generally understood that Mr. Nash decades since, ceased to need the law for a livlihood as his prudent ventures and the assistance of his business acumen put him beyond worry in that respect. His son, Major A. L. Nash of this city, a member of his old firm, a daughter, Mrs. Kirby White of Detroit and a son, Francis Nash of New York, their only children, were with the parents on this occasion. These people represent the best in America family life. They typify the successful life of the cultured, democratic, industrious America. They are respected by the whole community and there is no one who will not join in wishing them many more anniversaries. Manitowoc Pilot, Thurs., Sept. 6, 1923

Hoebner, Clark street, at high noon and was a quiet, home wedding, beautiful in its simplicity and lack of ostentatious display. Decorations of pink and white in the parlors of the ceremony which was performed by Rev. Blakesley, of Two Rivers. The bride was gowned in white silk chiffon over white silk and attended by Miss Amanda Mueller, as bridesmaid, who was attired in pink. William Nash, Jr., brother to the goom was groomsman. Following the ceremony a dinner was served and later in the day the bridal pair departed for St. Louis and the World's Fair for three weeks after which they will be at home to friends at Two Rivers. Mr. and Mrs. Nash are well known both here and at Two Rivers, being natives of the county and having resided in the cities all their lives. The birde is a favorite in circles in which she moves and is a lovable young woman of sweet disposition and charming manner. An only daughter she is the pride of her father's household and her personality was never more winning than in the home circle. Many friends testify to her womanly virtures and nobility of character. She is an accomplished musician and is endowed with all the qualities that tend to make her the ideal queen of woman's ideal realm, the home. Mr. Nash is a son of W.F. Nash, of the Two Rivers Chronicle and is associated with his father in the printing busines, which he has assisted making a success. Manitowoc and Two Rivers will unite in well wishes to the newly wed couple. Manitowoc Daily Herald, Wednesday, June 1, 1904 P. 1 ***** Notes of City and Town Folks: Mr. and Mrs. Noel E. Nash have returned to Two Rivers after a honeymoon spent at St. Louis. Manitowoc Pilot Thursday, June 16, 1904 pg. 5 ***** FINED FOR RAISING Disturbance at a Wedding Celebration Last Saturday morning seven boys, ranging in ages from 13 to 16 years, were arraigned in municipal court on a charge of having raised a disturbance at the Nash home on Michigan avenue last Wednesday evening on the occasion of the wedding celebration held there. The boys pleaded guilty to the charge in the complaint against them, and the parents of each paid a fine of $5 and costs. This will teach the boys a salutary lesston and will act as a wholesome deterrent to other boys given to carrying on and raising the "Old Harry." The seven boys referred to were but part of a crowd that raised the disturbance. Other prosecutions may follow. Manitowoc Pilot Thursday, July 7, 1904 pg. 1

Mrs. Nelson was a talented musician and for many years was a church organist and instructor of piano playing. Mr. Nelson retired only two years ago after sixty-two years in the printing trade. They have two children, Mrs. Bessie LaCosse of Marinette and W.D. Nelson of this city. Both are in good health and appear to be good for many future declining years in which to enjoy the sense they must have of lives well spent and duty performed and the knowledge of respect and esteem of the community where they have passed their lives. NELSON: Julius C. m: 5 Oct. 1882 (co. mar. index. v.5 p.87) to: Carrie M. Martin MARRIED: At Manitowoc, October 5, 1882, by Rev. J.M. Craig, Miss Carrie Martin to Mr. Jule Nelson; both of Manitowoc. The wedding was an elegant, though quiet affair. The bride is a well-known young lady of our city, and the groom is one of the firm of Plumb & Nelson, and his energy has added much to the wonderful prosperity of that firm. Manitowoc Lake Shore Times, Tuesday, October 10, 1882 P. 1 ***** MARRIED: NELSON-MARTIN-On Thursday evening in this city, by Rev. J.M. Craig, Mr. Jule Nelson and Miss Carrie Martin. If heaven be a place where good counsels prevail, then the marriage announced above is proof that matches are made there. Each of the parties to this contract is deserving of an excellent life partner and consequently in the consummation of this event each is admirably suited. Mr. Nelson has grown up in this city and in his growth to manhood has built up his fortunes, until now, possessed both of youth and manly vigor, he enjoys a competence, the result of his own labors. His bride is a young lady as richly endowed with excellent traits of character as with personal attractions. She has won the friendship of her every acquaintance by her amiable disposition and genuine kindness of heart. When we wish them happiness it is not a mere dismissal formulated by the editorial pen, but a sincere expression of hearty good will. Manitowoc Pilot, Wis., Thursday, October 12, 1882 pg. 3
