The bridegroom is well known in this city, having been employed for some time by A.J. Chermak. He established a meat market at Francis Creek about a year ago and by industry and perseverance has built up a large business. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Buckley of Kossuth. She is an attractive young lady and has a large circle of friends. After Mr. and Mrs. Pech had received congratulations the wedding dinner was served. Covers were laid for five hundred guests and over six hundred partook of the wedding supper. The wedding took place in Stastny's hall and the Melnik band of ten pieces furnished music. After a most sumptuous wedding dinner, the popular young couple, with attendants, relatives and guests, repaired to Polifka's hall, where a reception was held. This was followed by a dance in which 800 guests, including some of Manitowoc, participated. The groom is a prosperous farmer of Kossuth. He is a brother of James Pech, the North Eighth street liveryman. Miss Albee Zeman of this city, who is a cousin of the bride, acted as one of the attendants of the latter. The event was a happy one. Mr. Peck is eighty-four and his wife is seventy-eight. Both are in good health. Der Nord Westen, 03 May 1906 ***** Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pellet celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their hoe at 2502 Clark St., last Saturday. There was a High Mass for the couple at 9 o'clock at St. Paul's Church and a reception and open house at the home all day. Walter Pellet and Catherine Bartelme were united in marriage May 2, 1881 in the Town of Gibson and have spent their lives in Manitowoc County. Mr. Pellet was a contractor for many years and was twice elected sheriff in 1902 and again in 1912. He has never wavered in his loyalty to the old Democratic party and there is never a party council even in these lean days of the party that his advice is not sought. Their three children, Dr. Walter Pellet of New Orleans and Mrs. Joseph Williams and Mrs. A.W. Beck, both of this city, were with them and numerous friends called to tender congratulations. On their return the young couple will take up their residence at the corner of North Seventh and State streets, where they will be at home to their friends after February 1st. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. L. Auton. for three years she held a position at the local telephone exchange of the Wisconsin Telephone company, resigning several weeks ago to prepare for the wedding. The groom is a Manitowoc boy and is employed by the Goodrich Transportation company as chief engineer of the steamer Atlanta. The ceremony, which took place at 9 o'clock in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives of the bride and groom, was very interesting and impressive as such ceremonies usually are when the full marriage service of the Catholic church is performed. The wedding party at the altar made a very pretty sight. After the wedding ceremony was concluded a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's mother to a large number of invited guests. Mr. Pfeffer is a young and prosperous businessman of this city and stands high in the estimation of all who know hi. His bride was born and bred in Manitowoc where she is beloved and admired by a large circle of friends. The happy young couple were given a reception at St. Luke's Hall in the evening of their arrival in this city. The Chronicle united with their many friends in extending congratulations.
