BISCHOFF: August m: 3 Oct. 1876 (co. mar. index v.4 p.110) to: Mary Bees AUGUST BISHOP GETS SUMMONS Native of Manitowoc Expires At Seymour Monday August Bishop, 76, native of this county, died at his home at Seymour Monday. He is survived by 11 children, four of whom, Mrs. Elmer Thompson, Mrs. August Krueger, Mrs. Helen Miller, and Mrs. Harry Dill, reside in Manitowoc. The others are residents of Shawano and Appleton. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bishop home at Seymour Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and burial will take place at Appleton. Mr. Bishop spent his boyhood here and was married in Manitowoc to Mary Bies 57 years ago. His wife passed away five years ago. The Bishops remained in Manitowoc several years after their marriage, then established their home in Shawano county. A few weeks after Mr. Bishop went to Shawano county to clear space for a farm home in the dense forest, he was informed of the death of his young daughter. Because no other means of travel was available, he had to walk back to Manitowoc. Manitowoc Herald Times, Wednesday, January 24, 1934 P.2
